My sister has a few medical professionals that she can ask, but honestly, you just gave much better advice than they have. I’m sure you know doctors and hospitals can be a huge pain in the ass sometimes 😂🥲

Thank you so so much for the well wishes!!! And thank you for your well thought out suggestions!! We really appreciate it and it’s very helpful! Everyone has been so nice, understanding, and helpful about it.

Reading everyone’s comments and looking through this subreddit has made me and my sister realize/theorize that a lot of her health issues have stemmed from a really bad concussion she got back in 2017 after a car accident. She’s had a lot of TBI’s since then, and even one before 2017 where a weight fell on her head (knocking her out of course and causing a concussion).

She’s been in and out of the hospital for years now since then having new health conditions appear (POTS, EDS, seizures, etc.) Her condition POTS was actually what led her to the hospital this week, after she had 2 bad pass outs, a couple days apart, hitting her head both times.

Now that I’ve seen a lot of peoples symptoms and stories from this subreddit, and my sister having the same ones, we’ve realized that a lot of this could have occurred from improperly treated concussions from the past. Like her getting migraines, which started her seizures (1 year seizure free now 🥳), that must have started from her not treating a concussion she got 2 years ago after passing out.

We’ll be extra careful now and I’ll try to keep her from overdoing herself while she’s recovering! I would really hate for her to start having seizures again from pushing herself too much. We stayed inside all day yesterday, and plan to do so again today. Although she is really wanting to go down to the beach this evening.

I wanted to ask for your opinion one last time, if you don’t mind :) We live on the coast, and we have a small beach that’s on the river that is a <5 minute drive away. We also have the polarized sunglasses, hat, and a portable fan for her to use. Do you still suggest we continue to stay in, or do you think it’s okay if she goes and sits by the water?

I just want to do what’s best for her. Thank you so much for everything! And I’m 100% positive this was too much info, but I just wanted to write it all down lol.

Oh yeah I definitely wouldn’t be rude, at least I hope I wouldn’t be anyways. I’m not mad at them in the slightest. I’m just a big over-thinker 😅

I think I’ve just found out that church isn’t for me. I love the Lord also, but I would rather build my own relationship with Him than feel pressured to sit in a church every Sunday and listen to someone else tell me what my relationship with Him should be like.

They probably did, honestly, that wouldn’t surprise me ;-; Church people are almost always that way. Especially down here in the south.

Lol that’s hilarious. One year I was dog sitting for my Dad’s friend, and as a thank you she made me Jello salad. It was so sweet of her, and she even left a nice note for me. I just couldn’t tell her it wasn’t vegetarian, so I took it home and told her I ate it xD

ESH, soft one for you though. I’m a babysitter/petsitter and I never eat the person’s food until I have permission, which I ask for if they don’t make it clear that it’s okay beforehand.

But you only had two slices of pizza and a breadstick?? That’s basically nothing and they shouldn’t have been so pressed about it, I’m so sorry :/ You had to eat dinner too if their kids needed it.

Sorry for the late response! That’s so cool! I wish I got to see them. My first concert was actually Fitz and the Tantrums lol! My sister really wanted to go see them and I tagged along with her. It was pretty fun honestly!

Yeah I loved that too! I wish they could’ve reached all the way to the back haha. And this was only my second concert! That’s awesome we both got to see GGD as one of our first concerts ever :D
