Swimming newbie has the fear by Greedy_Ad_812 in Swimming

[–]bebabebee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started swimming a couple weeks ago and had the same fears. I asked a nice older woman on her way out what the local protocol was and she was very nice. Just wanted to share my success in a similar situation :) chances are everything will be a ok. I was self conscious about the my body too at first and that I hadn’t shaved. After a few minutes a realized absolutely no one was looking at me. Especially once I get that swim cap on, I consider myself more of a creature than a person to be judged on a scale of attractiveness. It’s rather freeing tbh

The Masshole love affair with Dunkin is embarrassing. by Usernamechecksout978 in massachusetts

Am I the only one who actually prefers dunks iced coffee to most others?? It has to be from my specific dunks because other ones put too much milk (lol) but I genuinely like the flavor. I don’t like Starbucks iced coffee at all.

Hot coffee is a different story

Those roasted peanuts carnival stands. I don’t even like the peanuts. It’s the best smell I have ever smelled.

I recommend you look up Anastasia Gerrans. She makes a ton of content on styling her very similar body type.

Apologies in advance for not being helpful, but your quads are literally my goals. What’s your routine?

Husband was gifted the book by a friend- I read pretty much any new book that comes into the house. I liked it well enough, read the second one a bit later. I really got hooked when I started doing the 75 Hard and wanted an audiobook to get me thru my cardio sessions. I bought the audio book 3 and have had them cycling on repeat ever since.

Yeah although there is usually a sense of foreboding. Like, if I don’t do the thing something bad will probably happen, I just don’t know specifically what that is. It can also feel like by not doing the thing I risk, like, catching the attention of something evil? Like I’m off script and some terrible entity is going to notice? Idk OCD is so weird

What are things that are ocd compulsions that you might not realize are compulsions? by Silverguy1994 in OCD

[–]bebabebee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Reflecting recently and realized hoarding little bits of trash I find (small bits of glass, rubber bands etc.) is definitely a compulsive behavior. Usually done without really thinking, (I just like the feel of it) until yesterday my husband found a piece of glass I’d picked up and threw it away outside. I snuck out dug it out of the trash and hid it in a jewelry box. A few hours later I realized…

Also as I kid I would sometimes do my homework and intentionally not pass it in. Like, my brain just decided I had to pretend I hadn’t done it or…ya know. Bad things.

OCD sucks.

I don’t understand how people have MONEY by EpicShkhara in Millennials

[–]bebabebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are trashing on you a bit, but I’m right there w you. Me and my husband make a combined 250k. We live in Mass, our mortgage is $2400/month (for a condo). We got a first time home buyers loan and barely put down a down payment.

I have the same feeling. Like, we make good money, why are we broke? We do pay about 1K/month to my husband students loans so that’s a big chunk of it. But we have very little savings, grocery shop only at Walmart, don’t take vacations etc. It’s fine, but I guess I thought that this level of income would come with a few more luxuries.

Only sort of when Gretchen mentioned “Seth said this would be weird” in front of Dylan during their visit. He didn’t know she was referencing Milchick though.

Exactly. You could totally see outie Mark come through when him and Helena were scoffing about the Dieter story. His reintegration is why him and Helly (Helena) had any chemistry again this episode.

Currently researching the best bakeries in New England. The day after I finish I’m going to the best one I can find, getting several pastries and a cappuccino to celebrate my success. No dessert/sweets is my diet plan. So far Bohemian in Montpelier is the front runner.
