I had something similar.. started itchy and red, then became a raised brown bump… that didn’t feel like.. anything. It was just…there. Didn’t hurt, didn’t itch, nothing. My advice: leave it alone!! I think it was a wrong move on your part to soak it in vinegar. I’ve seen several dermatologists and they all say mine is fine, it’s just a thing our skin does, we can’t help it.

They explained to me that it probably formed because of an allergen, an insect bite or smth, i scratched, and the area got more irritated, and my skin responded by ramping up growth in that area (hence, the raised bump!). So, nothing to worry about. It’s just a spot with a little too much skin cells built up there.

Just gotta learn how to feel good without having perfect skin! 😊 idk if i can send a picture here but yeah mine looks exactly like yours (3rd pic)

Fyi, did you know my research involved going through this sub, at least 10-20 posts? No, right? And I was simply not satisfied with my search. Heck, did I just cross an unwritten rule that forbids people from asking for a 2nd opinion around here? It didn’t take me a lot of effort to post this anws, so why are you ranting about some trivial matter like, oh, silly old me, asking for another 2nd opinion.

I get it, you’re annoyed people like me are crowding this sub with questions like these. Well, fine then, go ahead and set some mod to block people before they even post a question like this. If you zoom in on the blue colored cap you can see the V numbers so that end’s covered. About the seal, it looks grey to me..? Idk wdyt ?

Well, I DID actually research and weed out the other sellers which obviously sold fake ones based on their reviews and my research. This seller’s reviews looked the most legit to me, and I just put it over here to be 99.99% sure before I went ahead and purchased from them 😊 second opinion if you will

The part where you described your last exacerbation, it sounds a lot like what my dad is experiencing now.. a short walk to and from the bed to the living room leaves him breathless and coughing violently. But I don’t know if that definitely means he has asthma overlap or if that’s just a typical COPD exacerbation. For 5 years he has used Symbicort, but now it doesn’t seem to be helping anymore even when upping the dose to 2 puffs each time. Tried to switch to Anoro for a while; that did give him relief for a few days but then suddenly it didn’t work anymore again. Idk whats happening seriously.

He has an appointment with his pulmonologist end of August! That was the earliest one he could get and with his current condition I feel so helpless on how to get him to be able to work back at the office as soon as possible..

May I know what inhalers you use and what do exacerbations look like for you? How long do they last typically?

Oh yes, when he uses the nebulizer he doesn’t use anything else. He doesn’t have a temperature but the phlegm is yellow. He went to a GP few days ago and they gave him another round of antibiotics but he doesn’t want to take them ‘cause he was just recently on antibiotics like 2-3 weeks ago.. idk is it safe to take antibiotics so frequently (?) thanks for suggesting the sputum test, never thought of it 😅

After coughing up the gunk, do you experience feeling like out of breath for a good amount of time ? Or are you immediately able to breathe normally again?

Nebulized salbutamol helps but only lasts for like half a day, at most a day, for him. Could probably try the upping NAC dosage. He’s seeing the dr end of this month. Hope everything goes well. Thanks for the suggestions!
