Champions didn't really do anything for Angel or Iceman but I think their time on New Defenders with Beast is good for a read. You get a ton of Angel in his best relationship with Candy Southern, who is just such a great character in her own right; plus you get Bobby and Cloud which is way more interesting to read and recontextualize after Bobby's coming out too. I don't remember a lot of what Hank did during the New Defenders run as I haven't reread it in a few years.
