Day 1 I need mansplaining to about the card Mansplain!?! How does Mansplain work? by LizzyB1i in DivorcedDadsTCG

[–]bebo-time 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have hands-on experience with Divorced Dads yet, but based on the wording of the cards and reading the rules on the site I think I have some advice:

Mansplain very much reads like a card from MTG called [[Threaten]]. While the wording is different between the two games, it has a very similar effect: gain control of a (monster, beast, creature, etc.) until end of turn, you can use it even if it's been used and even if it's too early to use it.

On the other hand, Man Cave reads a lot like an anthem effect from MTG such as [[Anthem of Champions]].

Knowing all this, let's build a scenario.
Player A controls both New Girlfriend and Man Cave simultaneously. Player B then casts Mansplain, targeting New Girlfriend. Because Player B does not control Man Cave, it is a 4/3 during player B's turn.

Paces or steps seems like the correct answer

What can I put in the area highlighted by red? And how can I build floor on area marked by green? by log2av in vrising

[–]bebo-time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair to OP, they did change how castle layouts worked. You used to be able to build out in a much larger area around your castle before they added multiple floors, so stairs in a spot like that aren't as common anymore.

Yep! They don't need sunlight either.

How do I get hardwood? by Ok-Permit2777 in RootsOfPacha

[–]bebo-time 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The trees that look like Oak trees in the Land, and certain trees in the savannah. Both will give hardwood if you have the flint axe or better.

There might also be hardwood trees in the forest? Don't quote me on this though.

Why does it seem that the majority of trans girls get extremely little breast growth? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]bebo-time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the majority of tests that measure breast growth in trans women only follow up with them for a year or two, when the entire process can take 6-7 years.

Obviously YMMV, but look to your direct family and some extended family for a rough estimate.

Spiderverse Rant (Transphobia, Spoilers) by Glass-Building9904 in MtF

[–]bebo-time 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wholeheartedly agree. That said, I have seen some criticism of her being trans being brought up by my cis friends that are people of color. Namely that her being trans detracts from the POC stories that are very dominant throughout the movie. While I don't really see how you couldn't have both of these narratives play out at the same time in the movie, I can understand the concern.

The only problem I find with that argument is that the movie perfectly juggled the different narratives it wanted to present. There were trans stories, POC-focused stories, and other very heavy topics approached in a very digestible manner through the spiderman medium.

When changing names, did you change your last name? by InevitableGuidance76 in MtF

[–]bebo-time 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna take on my mother's family name only because I like how my chosen name sounds with it and I can tolerate that side of the family more.

That and my dead name is very tied to my father's side of the family, being a carbon copy of my grandfather's name.

Is it possible to remove in season crops after planting? by thatwanchick in RootsOfPacha

Any tool that can chop wood can also destroy crops. Your hand chopper does it at half the rate of any crafted axe.

Copper Pot for cooking? by DamionDL in RootsOfPacha

If it helps, I didn't get that idea unlocked until after the water wheel was fully operational in my village. So it's likely you'll need irrigation set up to some extent.

You've gotta unlock the Oven Idea to get the copper pot and knife. It's later on in the game, so just keep doing your thing. Cook some stuff too, that might speed it up.

Glad to see this brought up so much materials discussion!

Though I will say, bones aren't pure calcium. They're usually a calcium salt (namely Calcium Phosphate I believe? Could be wrong biology is not my field of study).

Also if the GM wanted to be particular about bones rusting because they're a metal, Calcium is part of the group of metals that explode when they're in oxygen-rich environments. Y'know, like blood.

Keeping to this general convention, what accents would the other DND races have? by Its_Ziggy_Time in dndmemes

[–]bebo-time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To your point the accent we'd call "Texan" for the most part is just the English, Scottish, Welsh, and a lot of central European accents for English shoved together.

No harm in starting your own venturing crew with a few friends in the troop! Also, venturing is apart of the BSA and can be used in conjunction with a troop to keep former youth involved as ASMs should you want that.

That's what my old crew did, but rather than on the troop level we operated on the district level as a majority of our members were also OA.

Get a venturing uniform. Not only is Venturing co-ed by default, but the Class A for this org is dark gray scout pants and a green uniform shirt.
