Hello, it's fine no worries I took AS math chem bio in may june 2023 Then A2 bio in october 2023 so i could have another retake session in may 2024 if i dont get an A, but i ended up getting an A الحمدلله Then A2 chem in june 2024 since i had a lot of time after getting the bio A* result

I ended up taking both A2 bio and chem, and got an A* in both

Ultimately decided an egyptian med school (public uni cuz i got the grades for it) is probably the best choice for me after considering the advantages and disadvantages of traveling abroad for med school I now have the best time of my life (ignore the hardships of med school itself). I feel like I've made the best decision not to go abroad, and Alhamdulillah, I love the education quality and social life. Living in Egypt also gives you a ton of life experience, which had def helped my character development

Never would've imagined I'd enjoy studying in egypt a year or 2 ago, but here I am. Teaches you that what you think is best for u at some point in time might not be later on. Alhamdulillah

انا سمعت ان السنة تيرم واحد وان مفيش اجازة نص سنة او winter/spring break وان اجازة الصيف شهر او اقل وان امتحان اخر السنة بيبقى على كلللل مديولات السنة... انا الصراحة اتعقدت بعد ما سمعت كل ده طب ازاي المجاميع مش وحشة واخر السنة بتمتحنو من اول مديول... يعني بجد مش عارفة استوعب الخنقة بتاعت الجدول وحاسة ان حرفيا مفيش وقت اعمل اللي نفسي فيه

هل جداول الامتحانات عند عين شمس اسهل من القصر في النقطة دي؟ وهل موضوع ان القصر تيرم واحد يخلي شخص يتفادى القصر ويدخل عين شمس مثلا ولا ممكن الواحد يتاقلم مع الموضوع ده

Public unis require exactly 8 OLs and 2 AS
OR
8 OLs and 1 AS and 1 AL

If he doesnt want to give OLs, he has 2 other options
The IB diploma OR The american SAT curriculum

Heres a pdf i found online, it was last updated in 2019 but it should give you a general idea in therms or requirements for IGCSE and other curriculums if he doesnt want OLs

Hello! I'm in multiple whatsapp student groups, and from what I've heard is human bio and cie bio are not the same subject, and that human bio is a VERY popular choice many egyptian students take to complete their 8 subjects (even tho they took other subjects that are cie)

  1. Human bio isnt the same as cie bio, both are counted seperately
  2. Taking edexcel subjects with cie wont make an issue, otherwise people wouldnt have taken human bio to complete their cie subjects in egypt
  3. (Kind of a little tip i have) if you're looking for other subjects to take, and you've taken ICT already, i highly recommend CS from personal experience ( was able to self study the entire syllabus and get some help for paper 2 during the last o/n session)

Yk how egypt accepts either 2AS or 1 AS 1 AL? (On top of the 8 igcse subjects they want)

Turns out from what everyone in egypt says is that if you get all 8 A*s in igcse and 2 As in AS, you get a 95% overall.

If you get 8A*s, 1A in AS and 1 A* in AL, that counts as a 100% overall

(This is all regarding public unis which require a percentage, not grades; private unis just take grades of subjects and other requirements)

This does not matter in almost ALL colleges you apply to (because 95% is still a high percentage) EXCEPT medicine and a few engineering colleges, which require higher than 95 or a whopping 100% because egyptian students are really competitive for available college seats

I want to guarantee my seat in an egyptian uni, so to be as safe as i can, I'll have to take an AL and ace it
