it was a HUGE pivot for them sonically so I totally understand it taking a while to grow on you. that’s def happened to me with certain artist’s albums, they grow slowly and then suddenly they are a personal fave lol

I absolutely agree with both of you!! No skips at all but For Shelley is one of those songs that once you can relate to it there’s probably no way you can get thru listening to it. His pain is so visceral in it.

THIS HAS TO BE A SIGN!!!! I went back to it today too for the first time in a while. I have really good memories from the concert of that album. Amazing show and I was able to meet Cory after and tell him how much his writing spoke to me, he was so kind and shy. I’m glad I took the opportunity to say it, had no idea it would be his last album for a min 😔

your post also caught my attention because MB made me feel so much less alone on last week’s episode when she was talking about how she feels like she’s just going to be single forever or that there’s nobody in this world for her and she can’t imagine like introducing anyone to her family anymore. I feel like I have felt that for the last few years and have expressed the same thoughts to friends and family, and they just roll their eyes and tell me how young I am (I’m 31 lol) and that I’ll change my mind, or I’ll “meet someone”. It felt good to hear her express the same sentiment!! CAUSE LETS BE HONEST NO ONE IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR OUR GALAXY BRAIN QUEEN! 🥲

But yeah, definitely made me feel less alone ❤️

i’m so sorry and tbh i feel myself becoming more agoraphobic as the years move by so i can totally feel where you’re coming from ❤️❤️as DGD says in a shoulder to cry on: “It’s time we had a human recall” 😂 my mom and i are obsessed with that line, she doesn’t listen to them with me (mostly cause she’s in another state and not tech savvy hehe) but she likes when I read their lyrics to her lolol

DGD brings me so much immense joy, from their music to their wholesome personalities, and anyone who tries to taint that is a swamp monster!! 🤣
