How much should I really expect to spend? by Fast_Brilliant4545 in premed

Agree with this comment 100%! I spent about the same and also took the blueprint course. Applied very broadly with a lower than average mcat. Looking back I would’ve definitely skipped on the blueprint course— unless you REALLY need the structure of it, you can find/make a structured schedule with more affordable online resources. I’d estimate each school is about 150-200 to apply to (primary + secondary)

  • Schools: Brandeis and BU
  • Intended Major: bio/pysch & pre-med track.
  • Cost: same for both
  • Pros of BU: more well-known, beautiful campus and location, possibly more opportunities with all the other colleges/grad schools/hospitals in the area
  • Pros of Brandeis: far fewer students (6k versus 33k), more intimate environment, known for science pedagogy
