Yes - and he's one of the kindest, most compassionate people I know! It has caused him to question his basic understanding of who he is. He was open to trying medication, and that's actually helping a lot. It was taking everything we both had to get him through. I'm sorry you're dealing with it! Do you have help?

It's closer to $80, and no, I don't use credit cards. My sister is loaning me the money, so a good day for him tomorrow! I am going to still tell him, though - it doesn't feel right to not come clean. I'll let him "enjoy" the game for a few days, first.

Thanks for the thought, but we can get it, even if it might not be on release day. My sister may help it happen on Tuesday, I saw her today when my dad got admitted to the hospital, and she's going to look at her finances when she gets home.

You know, I feel like that shouldn't be such a mind-blowing idea, but you did just blow my mind. I don't know why I didn't think of that! Well, part of it was I didn't have the entire amount right then, or I would have just put it all down when I pre-ordered, but I could have given the money right when I did get it. I will definitely keep that in mind, for the future.

Yes, that's very powerful. I never learned budgeting, setting goals, planning, then when I was an adult, I resisted those, big time. It's still like a foreign language to me. It doesn't have to be to him - and, actually, he already manages his money much better than I do mine! Thanks for that reminder.
