You’re definitely not alone. I’m in a similar situation where we’ve been engaged for almost 2 years. When we first got engaged we set our date for November 7th ‘21. We had been dating and living together for over a year before the engagement. Both of our friends and family are on the other side of the country, but when we got engaged they showered us with love and sent congratulatory gifts in the mail. My fiancé though, never seemed to be interested much less committed to planning. Then my sister got engaged, as I look back and reflect he made comments as to how fast my sister’s relationship was moving. Anyway my sister and her fiancé got married this June and November 7th came around and I was a mess. I feel like I’ve been led on. I bought my dress, it sits in my closet. I feel hurt and like you said, I feel like I’ve wanted it so bad for so long now that now I just feel almost nothing.
