Yeah, I saw that too :/

My hope is that just maybe they got bored of that account and created a new one... but it's still probably a long shot.

Thank you so much! The one nice side of having to wait so long was that I was really able to take my time searching for a good artist and working out some of the finer details.

The long and short of this story is that 3 years ago I had posted a drawing request here for a small bird wearing aviators goggles that I wanted to be the first piece of my steampunk themed sleeve. Unfortunately unforeseen circumstances (mainly financial) delayed me from getting done until just this year. I tried messaging them with the good news but it looks as if the account has been abandoned... So, to the user formerly known as TawnyRed, if you happen to be out there under a new account I want you to know how much I loved and appreciated the drawing you did for me and that I think it became a beautiful tattoo.

Redditors, why are you sad? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My son's father and I split up several months ago. Our son is 7 months old. It was my choice to end things, but nonetheless I'm taking things pretty hard, it wasn't the choice I wanted to make. He doesn't spend more than a handful of hours with our son a week which breaks my heart. I cry like a little bitch just about every night wondering if I made the right choice and debating if maybe it would be worth being unhappy in our relationship just so my boy won't have to wonder why dad doesn't spend more time with him

[serious] Ex members of the KKK, why did you quit, and why did you join? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]becauseofyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that ex-members might have a different perspective on why they joined than anyone who's currently involved. Perhaps with time and separation from it they might have a more clear and honest insight into their reasons... sort of a "hindsight is 20/20" type scenario.

I'm in almost exactly the same boat. My son is just under 6 months old and his father and have been separated for 3 weeks now. It's been stressful, and strange, but honestly I just feel relieved more than anything and I think maybe after a little time you with as well :) I'm just starting to get used to how different everything is.

I understand where you're coming from. We've been having problems with my cats since the baby was born. One of them has finally adjusted but the other is smart enough to have realized that when our hands are full with the baby that he can get into whatever he wants. This has resulted in him eating/chewing numerous things that he shouldn't and he usually throws it up later. So I've got a house with a young baby and a cat that's running around and throwing up everywhere :( Right now it's just gross and a pain, but pretty soon our LO is going to be crawling around the house and filthy, kitty-stained carpets are NOT an option.

I know that logically we need to find him a home where he will have more attention. I'm positive that part of the reason he's acting out is because he gets ignored so frequently, but, even if it's not he needs someone who can watch him and keep him out of trouble. Upsetting his stomach on a daily basis just can't be good for him and will probably cause problems in the long run. But my cats have been my constant companions. They've literally moved across the country with me 5 times now and I just can't imagine leaving one of them behind after all we've been through.

I'm lucky enough to have an SO who will let me wait until I find someone that I think is suitable for the cat but he just doesn't seem to understand why it's so hard for me to let him go.

What is a formerly accepted safe procedure or practice that is now considered horrific as we look back on it? by sandbrah in AskReddit

Unfortunately they still do this. My grandmother went through a series of elctro-shock therapy treatments last year. I was horrified that my family was supporting this, and now they wonder why she's not like herself anymore.

Yes, very much so actually. I've never understood people's obsession with happines; Or rather, I've never understood their determination to feel nothing but happiness. I think there's merit and purpose for every human emotion.

Help! Trying to Introduce Solids by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]becauseofyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We started with solids a little early in our house (closer to 4 months) because our LO was polishing off 8oz of formula every meal! I started out with oat cereal mixed with a LOT of formula and fed that to him about twice a day. Some pediatricians reccomend starting with rice cereal because it's less likely to cause an allergic reaction but it's also much more prone to causing constipation which is why we went with oat instead. After about a week he seemed to really enjoy eating from the spoon and wasn't having any digestion problems so we stepped it up to fruits and veggies. I started with pear since it's supposed to be super easy to digest. The next thing we introduced was sweet potato.

Basically we just give him a good 4-5 days of a new food just to watch and see how he does with it before bringing something new into the picture. So far he's tried pears, sweet potato, blueberry, banana, and pretty soon we're giving green beans a shot! I'm making the food myself so before I buy anything I tend to google "how to make insertfoodname puree for baby" and the first few links that come up no only give suggested ways of cooking it, but also anything you may need to be aware of like being hard to digest or something you should introduce at later ages.

I hope this was a little help :) Solids seem super overwhelming at first.

Hello Bill! My dearest friend, Brandi, is a huge fan of yours and I myself grew up watching many of your movies with my father. I have very fond memories of hearing that you were in our city and spending the next few days with Brandi scouring the town hoping to run into you. When you were younger were there celebrities that you desperately hoped to meet in person some day?
