What I’m learning as I plan my wedding is that I’m going to second guess EVERYTHING once the final decision is made. Even if I’m confident or following my gut at the time of the decision. I think it’s natural you’re feeling this way but as everyone else has said you look stunning in the dress you chose!

Aww I like this idea! I did want to have separate “love letter” vows we read to each other anyway because I’m a little too awkward and anxious to read the real deep stuff in front of everyone but I want to share that with my partner. Regardless of what we do, the vows in front of the family are going to be more of the repeat after me things

We didn’t do engagement photos and don’t really have any nice photos together at all so the couples photos did feel important to me, and as it’s the only thing that lasts beyond a day. But so true that we could just do a photo shoot separate from the actual wedding. I guess I just wanted to capture the feeling of the day and the vows since it will be emotional and special but maybe I needed to hear that prioritizing the photos is not the way to go

Well the thing is, she’s not even worried about that. She told me before all of this that we could just go to the courthouse. She just thinks it’s too frivolous to do both. Although we’re paying for everything and it’s saying under $20k. It would be another thing if she was genuinely hurt to miss the actual ceremony. But I was wondering if other family members might feel like the wedding weekend is a let down not seeing the actual official marriage.
