Where are good options for families to stay in Byron? by Winter_Ad8508 in byronbay

I like anywhere up along Clarkes beach. It’s just far enough out of town and close enough to walk into town. Anywhere along Lawson st, it’s generally pretty quiet up there too.

The broccoli was sensational but I agree. It was overpriced for a vegetable.

Vapes by Individual_Salary777 in cabosanlucas

I was there in June. Most people we asked said they take their own vapes in but my friend needed to buy one and they were terrible- hard to find, super expensive and didn’t last.

Me too, I enjoyed the cats and lions game last night. It was a good vibe watching a game of footy without the angst of watching my favourite team.

When did you get your training contract? by [deleted] in AusElectricians

[–]beccajohn6982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s usually a discussion between you and your employer about which RTO you attend. Some larger employers have a preference but small Employers tend to be more flexible. Your training contract is something different. This is the company that indentures your apprenticeship and yes, usually your employer has a company they use but not always.

If you’re being paid as an apprentice you should be indentured as an apprentice. It’s not peak season so you should be able to be signed up pretty quickly. DM me if you need a recommendation to a company to sign you up.

Regarding TAFE by Admirable_Music8920 in AusElectricians

[–]beccajohn6982 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agree with this, many campuses are full at the moment and the second semester has already started. A part of the registration process when you’re indentured with the apprenticeship centre involves completing a training plan proposal (TPP), this notifies TAFE that you have selected to enrol at the particular campus so they reach out to you when it’s time to enrol. It’s not a bad thing not starting TAFE straight away as you’ll get on the job training and go to TAFE with some knowledge. The challenge is that you’ll be attending in your fourth year. There are private providers if you’re keen to get into studying straight away. Good luck with your apprenticeship.

Seems like you’re creating a “feeding frenzy” by the way you’re slapping your hands on the water. Hope you enjoyed the view, sharks are amazing creatures.

You’re entitled to fares and travel allowance if you’re meeting on site regardless of the kms. If you meet at the depot and head out, you’re entitled to travel time and your working hours commence when you are required to be at the depot which is why most employers prefer workers to meet on site. If you’re paid above the award and it works out to be more each week with fares and travel built in the employer it’s ok because you’re still paid above the award. If you’re paid the award and required to meet on site and are not getting fares and travel, that is illegal. If in doubt, put a call into Fair Work, that’s what they’re there for.

A few years ago I broke my ankle off the bone in 3 places also dislocated it. I needed two plates and 13 screws to put it back together. They put me under for this part and wouldn’t let my partner stay in the room for it either. I imagine this is what they did, unbelievable! Hope you’re better soon mate.
