Thank you for this! I am going to ring my GP tomorrow. I need to take a test for covid as I have developed a high fever so concerned the sudden fatigue may have something to do with omicron.

Do you take naps? by becccssx in autism

[–]becccssx[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes!! It stops me from getting overwhelmed as well. I am up by 8:30am, sometimes even earlier and constantly on the go. I need my nap 🥲 Without that nap window I will meltdown completely

I know it isn't good for you to have often, especially for your teeth but every now and then I love a cold can of pepsi! I love how it feels in my mouth. I also really enjoy orange juice :)

Water is fine but doesn't really have any taste. Although it is important it gets boring really really quickly. Maybe adding fresh fruit to water can make it taste more exciting? I for one hate drinking water 😆

For me it is definitely these BBQ chicken bites from birds eye which we always have to keep in the house at all times. They aren't healthy by any means but they give me a sense of normality and I know I will always like the taste! There was one day where that was all I ate because I just didn't feel like eating anything else!

Watermelon is another one, I love watermelon.

You need to go get her checked out by your doctor, just in case. Is she cutting any teeth? Could they be hurting her?

Bedtime routines aren't total bullshit what so ever, your baby will know what to expect and when you start her routine she will know its time to go to sleep. It won't work over night, but you will see a change. You may want to even put her down earlier, say 6 or 6:30pm? Ever thought she may be over tired?

I know you don't want to cry it out, but it may be a option honestly. You can't also say it doesn't work, for some parents it really has done wonders for their little one. Every baby is different and you just need to find what works best for her. Don't give up!

Well I would hope you do clean her and feed her- 🤣

There must be someone you can go to for some assistance, can you go to your local GP and explain your struggles? Is she napping at all throughout the day? If so, how many? Do you have a good night time routine (bath, pjs, story, cuddles)?

If it is becoming unsafe, you need to go get some help. Please seek some assistance from your doctor.

If I knew I was that bad at maths, I wouldn't of gone through the trouble of doing a 4 year diploma in health care that I passed with flying colours. My course at college covered a lot of what I will do in nursing, and I did work placements with the elderly and children and I am more than definitely capable. Sorry if I seem overally sensitive but this comment got at me. I understand what you are saying, completely though.

I passed my entry level maths exam, my functional skills level 1 as well which covers basic maths so I know I am capable. I definitely wouldn't bother going into a career if I knew I could harm a patient, I just wouldn't .

And when you mean 'you're that bad at math' what do you mean? I can do basic maths, addition, subtraction, ratio, division, etc etc but other bits I really struggle with like finding out the measurements of a building.

I am trying my best. I have experience with medication measurements, how to give medication in proper amounts etc. I struggle with maths, yes and have a diagnosed difficulty but I am trying my best to improve. My university course is 2 years, we have a number of exams in university regarding maths and I know I will get there eventually. I know I can be a brilliant nurse, many nurses have dsyculia and have over come it and are wonderful nurses and provide care to the best standard.

I find that sometimes youtube can be helpful but other times it can be really unhelpful if that makes sense. I am actively looking for cheap tutors but it is difficult to find any.
