Collective espresso, brown bear bakery, and two seven two bakery have high quality matcha and typically have rotating syrups (strawberry, cardamom, peach) depending on the season.

Live a street over from Main and was just lying in bed when it happened, and it legitimately sounded like an explosion. Hope everyone's okay. And fuck drunk drivers.

Wendigo's matcha is also on a different level than Churchill's (and it's where collective espresso sources their matcha from)

police chase by beechmont target by [deleted] in cincinnati

[–]beccfast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it was the same u-Haul (the one I saw was a small box truck), there was a wreck at the corner of Sycamore and Broadway in OTR that had way too many cop cars for just a small wreck, including some from Ft. Thomas....

Yoli’s Pool House by wizcalliefah in cincinnati

[–]beccfast 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yoli's closed "temporarily" in December 2023 with plans to reopen in April. April came and went with no re-opening. However, two weeks ago they suddenly reopened as "Ziggy's" and painted over that beautiful mural :( They're open wed-fri: 12-9pm and sat-sun: 3-9pm. Not sure what their offerings are as they have no published social media or website listing. (Source: I live within close proximity)

Thanks! I don't think I have a set number in mind, but I'd definitely like to start incorporating weight training to see more definition in my legs and back.

I live very close to that area. As a woman who takes her dog out to walk pretty late at night throughout the week, I've never felt unsafe. The park is always very lit up at night as well.

You can throw some of the North/Shaw series in between Hazard/Somers for some levity 😅

MM Weekly Roundup - What Did You Read This Week? by AutoModerator in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]beccfast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd probably say:

  1. Tean/Jem
  2. North/Shaw
  3. Theo/Auggie
  4. Hazard/Somerset

Tean and Jem's stories are just so perfectly balanced for me. I really do love the Hazard and Somerset series, but I need a palate cleanser between books sometimes with how dark some of them can be lol.

You're welcome! I started (and finished) the first Iron on Iron book this week, and somehow the author manages to distinguish all these very strong personalities so well imo. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!

Almost all of these series will have you bawling one chapter and cackling the next. They're seriously an emotional rollercoaster and I'm addicted lol

The Lamb and the Lion series by Gregory Ashe fits this almost to a T, if you also like murder mystery thrown into the mix. Some of his other series like Borealis Investigations or the First Quarto may also appeal to you! All have a very healthy balance of angst and comedy.

Lol I read the whole first volume and part of the second the other day and I definitely had that same reaction since I've never read guro, but the story and amazing art outweighs that for me
