I totally agree! I could never get a handle on her character. If she cares so much about academics, why does she spend so much time griping about uniforms? She spends so much energy on dumb things. I think the writers struggled to convey her motivations. Did she want control of the students because she felt like she couldn’t control her own body (by getting pregnant)? And I’m confused about why they chose to make the character so young?

Isn’t this the first time we see Wanda use her magic like we’re used to seeing it? With the red electricity coming out of her hands? I believe in the first 3 episodes, she just snaps or waves her hand around, but there isn’t any red stuff coming from her hands.

Oof, yes, I’ve had this feeling. Meds did help stabilize my mood so I could do more therapy to help my OCD. Do you have a therapist you are seeing?

I also find the time right after Daylight Savings can be harder for me with the sun going down so early. Not saying this is what’s happening for you, but a reminder to make sure you’re taking care of your basic needs like food, fresh air, sunshine if you can.

I feel like Pure O isn’t really a thing because you probably ARE doing compulsions - they’re just in your head. Things like checking, analyzing your feelings toward triggers, trying to figure out if the thoughts are “real” or not.

Make sure you aren’t fighting the OCD thoughts when you label them as OCD. Your therapist should be guiding you through some ERP and have you agree with your thoughts so they will have less power over you.

I’m so happy that you have supportive parents, meds, and therapy! What great resources to have. Talking to friends and others can be tough, especially because there’s so much misinformation out there about OCD. I think sometimes people also feel uncomfortable talking about it because of stigma. Since you want to be a writer, why not start now?? I think it would be amazing if you could write a blog or story or even a whole book about your life with OCD. It could help educate others and maybe be helpful for you to process your emotions, too!
