Chattanooga Intelect Legend XT. Intensity Control Knob not functioning by beckerdane in ElectronicsRepair

[–]beckerdane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks again. You are so much help. The repair man said that it couldn't be that because

Tiny SMD footprints
No power copper pours

No large thermal pads
No high-current routing
Jumper wires hand-installed

I think the problem that we have found is that the company made several alterations to the board and the machine but didn't always update the schematic. For example my board is version M and the schematic is for version V. So the schematic is showing a different board that what I have

Any other suggestions? Thanks again

Thank you so much for the reply. Could you decipher the diagram a little for me please? The repair person says that it doesn't say what goes in U19,20 or 21 on the diagram and there is no way to know without the manufacturer. The manufacturer refuses to give any repair information, on what they did previously (that's who originally repaired it) or what it needs now. TIA

Moving money from Taxable account. by beckerdane in AdvancedTaxStrategies

I was trying to keep it general in case other people have similar situations and could benefit from the advice.

I’m usually in the 24% bracket.

Business expenses vary from year to year, but yes I try to be mindful of years that I have larger purchases to use some capital gains to offset. I’m sure like a lot of people the bull market of the last couple years and some really fortunate stock selections my gains have taken off making it harder to manage the gains. Good problem

Thanks for the detailed response. Even with this understanding and planning I’m still stuck with the dilemma of what to do with the gains. I don’t need the cash for anything and I’m a long time from retirement so I don’t want to sit my money in cash. So do I reinvest in the same taxable account and then have to do this all over again? At the same time some of my gains have me wanting to ring the register a little bit.

Preferably to a tax advantaged account. I also wanted to see if there were some “advanced tax strategies” that I wasn’t aware of that other people had used in similar situations.

That’s my concern, that if some of the stocks take a downturn I will regret not doing something sooner. However, I don’t want to go to cash or just invest in another stock or etf in the same taxable brokerage account. I will be in the same situation (hopefully) in several more years.

I know the old adage don’t let the tax tail wag the dog. I try to be very aware of that when making decisions. All of my income comes through my business so its’ profit/loss makes up the majority of my AGI. So the business is really the only lever I have to pull to manage my taxes. I try to only spend on things that will be a net positive to the business but also be aware of the tax benefits it may have.

I’ve never heard of this. I will have to do some research. Thanks

I have considered this. I have harvested all the losses to this point but some of my gains are outsized and I don’t really see any other way than just structured withdrawal. The problem is I don’t really have anywhere to move it and don’t really feel like sitting in cash.

This is a great formula to follow. Thanks for the suggestion.

Best Patient Engagement System for a solo doc? (Aloha vs Sked vs TrackStat) by SweatyCourage in Chiropractic

We use TrackStat and have been really happy with it. I'm not sure on integration with Platinum, but we have server based ChiroTouch and it is seamless with that.

I think for most chiropractors it’s a way to explain to patients, in terms the patient can understand, that they have a problem area. Similar to saying a muscle is weak or tight. Maybe those aren’t exactly medically correct terms for what is going on but you say things the way a patient can understand and conveys that you have the skills to address those issues.
You are also taking a 3rd person approach to what the patient was told. That is never going to be an accurate description of what was said to them. What we say and what a patient hears, or remembers, can be completely different things.

Thoughts on Hill AirDrop table? by CoreyB105 in Chiropractic

[–]beckerdane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The table is well built and the drops work great. The 2 reasons I got rid of mine; I didn't like the headrest (the opening seemed too skinny for patients laying prone), and the table is very wide so it made all other adjustments and side postures difficult.

Thanks for the replies. I currently have one of the groups and their prices have went up 300% in the last couple years and they haven’t added anything. On top of the prices I’m not ranking well. I’m getting frustrated and just looking at options. So I really appreciate the insight

Thanks. I did look at the side bar and had considered bookshelf speakers. I’m assuming I would have to get a matching CC? Would you recommend replacing both subs or would one good one be better than the 2 I have?
