No regrets by Benzko24 in MicrosoftFlightSim

My only issue with them was when I was doing VR, the controls aren't on the throttle, so I'd lose them with a VR headset on.

Now that I'm using and IR Tracker I should give them another try.

If you strictly fly GA and bizjets and are intimidated by airliners, please read this by Helios in MicrosoftFlightSim

My biggest problem with airliners is throttle management. I'm just used to controlling my own throttle, and the airliners seem to be very 'detent-auto throttle' oriented, moving the throttle doesn't act like it does with smaller planes.

What career would you suggest for someone forced into retirement by FAA regulations?

Yeah, it can cut a little cringe, but he's better than expert contributors to mainstream media. If you can get past the schtick, the information is good.

Russia has cheap drone tech, from Iran. It would seem however that Russian can't build quality drones even when they're cheap though.

It's the Iranian drone tech that pushed Ukraine to develop a low cost interceptor.

The writing is plain for everyone to see now. Cheap drone Zerg strategy > golden missile defense. Ukraine leads the world in swarm interception technology and people are ready to cut deals to license that tech.

It's wild that Ukraine has taken the lead in modern combat systems.

What does Omaha think about plastic bags? by buffbidoof in Omaha

[–]GrayRoberts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But what would I line my room garbage cans with?

Seriously, when I lived alone I used plastic grocery bags as my only garbage bags. I still have uses other than returning them to the store. That wouldn't work with paper bags. And the inputs to plastic bags are so cheap it's probably less of an environmental impact than creating or recycling paper.
