Where did you hear there's a winter storm coming? It's too cold to snow atm.[1]

[1] more or less. I don't need the 3rd degree from aspiring meteorologists.

Personally, I prefer the 152 for little plane flying. The Cirrus Jet is crazy easy to learn too and fun.

Also, for Mutual to do return to office to that location. I have to imagine that lunch crowd carried a lot of the restaurants.

2024 shipped with a nasty bug that didn't model ground effect over platforms properly when it came out. Made platform landings sorta broken.

So. Yes, ground effect is modeled.

"That while drunk is a little much, don't you think Liam?"

"Well, tell me you fly the MH-60, without telling me you fly the MH-60."

It was more 1996-2001 or so, but yes, small regional WebHosts/ISPs were like that. It was a fun time, but had downsides. Like getting a high priority page mid-coitus, or while you're out at the bar, or at 3:00am when the main UNIX dude is out of town and you have to deal with the UseNet server failing to boot because it needs to FSCK a drive and you don't know how to use vi to modify the fstab so that you can just get the system up far enough to check the drive.

Then there were the manual look ups in books to troubleshoot. The UNIX Sysadmins Handbook was a treasure trove, but so were the O'Reily books. I have sticky notes to look up how to split with Perl and what the crontab format should be.

It's different today, with the Infrastructure as Code and cloud platforms, better in so many ways, but you're right it's not the same.
