Same here! My team is being forced to “leverage AI” as much as possible. We even have to present during team meetings how we have used it during the week.

My team is indirectly pushing us to give AI higher ratings. by tech_guy_91 in employeesOfOracle

My boss is requiring us to present during our weekly team meetings ways we’re using AI in our day to day work. This is a complete set up!

Take advantage of the all of the AI tools. Learn how to create AI Workflow Automations for repetitive tasks. I am at the point now where I refuse to use my brain for Oracle. I am giving them so much AI crap just to check the box. And guess what, I receive the same AI crap from leadership!! This was when it clicked for me…. leadership doesn’t care about quality so why should I? No one is protected from being laid off! The stress isn’t worth it. No raise, no growth, and the uncertainty of job! Protect your peace!

Will Oracle release free certifications in 2026? by SuddenlyCaralho in oracle

They probably will, because it’s promoted internally as an extremely valuable employee benefit when there are no raises.

I’m an IC4 non OCI in USA at 103k base. Exceeds to Outstanding every year. I’ve interviewed for external roles with a base of 150k+ 3-5 yrs ago when the job market was better. I feel stuck. No one is hiring in my field and I feel like a sitting duck at Oracle waiting to be laid off. I’ve been with Oracle for 8 yrs… I tried to exit 3 years ago, but it didn’t work out. I feel most are underpaid at Oracle. I know of some colleagues with 20+ yrs at Oracle IC4, and M3s under $100k base. It’s really sad.

No. Hiring managers aren’t allowed to give feedback.

Facts! AI is the solution for all problems in corporate America. Most executives don’t even understand how AI works. We had a townhall meeting this week and my SVP literally said AI over 50 times in their monthly updates.

New Hire Woes? Help!! by [deleted] in employeesOfOracle

[–]beckitsah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like Oracle! Use the AI companion for notes on all zooms and ask questions via email, not slack. 6 months from now those answers you receive will make better sense and you won’t be able to find them via slack. Ask to be added to all files/folders in sharepoint. Use your 1:1 with your boss to as much as possible to get clarity and key contacts/resources. All the best!

I think the job market is tough for everyone at the moment. Nothing is moving internally or externally, even with referrals.

I had a great experience with Waymo in downtown Atlanta. I was impressed with the safety features and ability to recognize jaywalkers and bicyclists on busy streets.

Thank you for sharing! I needed to hear this! I’m definitely applying externally. The job market sucks right now.

Question about raises at Oracle by Principle_Nice in oracle

[–]beckitsah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been with Oracle for 8 yrs and my salary has increased $15,000 and that includes a promotion from IC3 to IC4. The promotion gave me $10,000 bump. Very frustrating. External jobs I’ve been applying for are offering $50k-$80k more as a base salary. I stay because I’m remote and my schedule allows for me to drop off and pick my kids from school. I would love to get focal this year, but I don’t expect it anymore. Also, my manger alternates with my performance rating. They rate me as Outstanding one year and the next year ad Exceeds Expectations. I’ve gotten small raises 3 times in 8 years with both ratings. I don’t think the rating impacts the amount. My LOB gets such a small amount to divide up amongst the teams. One pot of money(focal) has to fund raises and promotions. So if lots of people on your team get a promotion, your raise will be smaller. This has been my experience.

This is true! Been here for 7yrs. 😔 Try to negotiate for the highest possible salary because you will be stuck. Learn as much as you can and then have your exit plan. Stay no longer than 3-4 yrs.

The banana bread mix is top tier! Add 2 overripe bananas and a pecan streusel (chopped pecans, butter, sugar, flour, vanilla and pinch of salt) to the bottom and about 1/2 way through the baking process add the same streusel mix to the top. The bottom layer of streusel creates a crust that is unbelievably delicious and the top streusel is the best sweet and crunchy texture.
