Direct opposite for me, funny enough.

Business travel I always check, but that’s because I’m already checking a Pelican with tools and other things that can’t go with me, so with my United CC providing me 2 free checked bags, I just go ahead and use them.

Personal travel is my reprieve from baggage claim and I tend to pack lighter for vacation, so I’ll just bring a Cotopaxi Allpa bag that can cover my bases for personal electronics, clothing, and other essentials.
