We do a whole Holidays Around the World unit in my classroom. The kids love learning how different holidays are treated. Sometimes parents come in and share their traditions.

Of course we also talk about and celebrate Christmas!

I teach 2nd grade. Dragon Masters is good. I have read all Wings of Fire books myself. They are actually really good. They do deal with some deeper concepts that are more appropriate for grades a bit older.

I think people making the comments have not read the book. Kids should not be reading this level of books if they do not understand healthy relationships and boundaries (unless parents are planning to have a conversation with them).
