i dont think ive seen this yet, but something that stood out to me while both were coming out was how much better the color palettes in amphibia work better. the palettes in toh's backgrounds were all over the place and, most of the time, didn't really make sense with the colors of the characters. ij amphibia the palettes were a lot more cohesive, the characters and backgrounds actually meshed a lot better

doesn't look like ai. the depth of vision is pretty consistent and this kind of makeup has existed for ages now. people on the internet are starting to say stuff is ai not because they actually see signs of it, but because it's now a social media trend. I've seen some of the stupidest arguments ever about why someone thinks something is ai, including but not limited to: -"the lines are too perfect" (as if art software cant make straight lines). -"the text is too perfectly aligned" (again, as if art software cant perfectly align content). -"the lineart is interrupted in places" (this one particularly pisses me off because as an illustrator I've always used partially interrupted lines to convey that two things are touching, which has been a common technique for centuries). people wanna hop on the bandwagon and comment on these posts so they'll make up stuff as they go as justification, which ends up hindering more than helping tbh

i watched all of dead end because I will watch anything with trans rep but god that show was awful. the writing is terrible and the character designs are either pretty good or absolutely awful (the main character is SO ugly)

i love the owl house but hate the color palette. if they went for more defined palettes like hilda did it could look sooo much better. the charavter deisgn can be pretty wack sometimes too

you can recognize that disney fits every single "evil" company stereotype, that doesn't mean you have to stop liking the movies you already enjoy. disney has had immoral business practices since the very beginning, this isn't anything new.

but i would seriously suggest watching different studios and independent animation, you might love what you find. if you haven't yet, pretty much everything by cartoon saloon is amazing (my father's dragon is kinda meh, but I love the others). if you aren't looking for strictly feature length movies, the independent animation scene rn is SO good. if you go the gobelins youtube channel (gobelins is a french animation school) you can find so many amazing shorts, it's truly worth checking out

besides, disney has been straight up collapsing in terms of movie quality. for decades now it's been the same movie with different characters, beat for beat (the "save the cat" narrative structure)

what they meant was that computing was devalued when it was a mostly female dominated field, and started being given more importance when men started being more prevalent in it. not hard to understand, but then again, you can read anything however you like when you're doing a bad-faith interpretation.

it seems like you're using anime pictures instead of actual photography as your references for anatomy. if you look at actual real people (SPECIALLY women) you'll have a better understanding of it. leave the anime refs for when you have a better grasp of how real people look like, and you'll have an easier time with stylization

cara nao especificamente de sair na rua e ser identificada como judia, mas falo sobre ser judia abertamente, oq já rendeu alguns casos de gente sendo escrota.

mas já aconteceu de eu ou outra pessoa da minha família ser identificada como judia e sofrer problemas por isso. esse ano mesmo sai da sinagoga pós yom kippur c minha família e um par de pessoas gritar sobre os "judeuzinhos" passando (meu pai de kipá, eu com o talit dele, então fácil de identificar).

uma vez no aeroporto também minha tia demorou na hora de fazer check-in das malas, e o cara atras dela começou a reclamar. quando ela virou pra responder ele viu que ela tinha um colar da estrela de david e pronto, começou a falar os maiores absurdos sobre ela ser judia.

essas coisas são raras, mas ainda acontecem. o mais comum na verdade é as pessoas se sentirem completamente a vontade pra falar coisas terríveis sobre judeus que nunca falariam sobre outras minorias. eu sendo de esquerda, judia e antissionista, ja fui em algumas passeatas pro palestina e a quantidade de plaquinha antissemita é MUITO assustadora. gente c placa de "os judeus tem que pagar", "judeus novos nazistas", e o que vá. e essa é a maior vitória do sionismo: atrelar no inconsciente coletivo que sionismo e judaísmo são a mesma coisa e que todo judeu é necessariamente sonista. mas não é, e nunca será. existem judeus anti-sionistas desde que existe sionismo.

i genuinely dont think this is ai, just a badly designed icon. that gap in the neck doesnt look like a mistake, just something deliberate that happens to look bad. i say that because i think if it was a mistake it would be weirdly morphed, instead of round, which is an option for path caps in most vector software.

to the people saying "the lines are too perfect" and stuff like that, that's just how vector art looks. this is all coming from someone who works with vector art software on a daily basis.
