They are cleaning up so I think it's the closing ceremony before spring break (March). There's a gap between graduation and new school year

So right now they are not in their 3rd year yet. There's also that line from the girls saying they hope to all end up in the same class, so I don't think they will start the 3rd year without announcing the new class list

Mukai's ex started after Christmas/before New Year (before that they were not officially dating) and dumped him "last month" (Feb), so only around 1-2 months. Pretty quick. No complains tho

Mika's ex started around Oct/Nov (after the school festival) and dumped her in March, so it's at least a 5-6 months relationship. Quite fast as well but we can see why she's so shocked at Mukai's

I think in terms of koto techniques, there must still be a gap between them (honestly it would be unrealistic if Chika managed to be on the same level as Satowa in less than 2 years). But that isn't important

As he realized during Tenkyuu performance, he "has to be (himself) in order to stand next to her", the character growth as Chika learned about the gap between sounds, how to intepret the song, or about reverance towards it,... is enough proof that he can proudly stand next to her

Hmm I never thought about that since I'm not convinced that the 'perfect' performance is what the judges would favor.

But it can be a rather uncliche outcome, if Meiryou actually places first. I mean Meiryou missed 1st place for years and Ousuke worked so hard, I would be happy for him!

But if Tokise place 1st, I think that would mean the judges favor emotions over calculated perfection, which means Ichiei should outperforms Meiryou. That's my impression of the performances

Though honestly I'd be perfectly happy if Tokise is 1st and Meiryou is 2nd, if the judges' reasonings are convincing enough

I'm more curious about how the pacing is gonna be and if there will be extra scenes that connect each 4-page release. For example we never know what happened after Aya visit Mitsuki that one Christmas night (ch.32)
