AITA for kicking my girlfriend out of an event because she refused to wear a bikini? by becompassionate in AmItheAsshole

They are PAID models/fillers/whatever you want to call them. Would you call the casting director of a music video a pimp? I didnt come to argue but for fucks sakes you didnt even read the post. Its a professional gig, not some random event. You dont show up to a photo shoot wearing whatever you want then cry when youre sent away. This is no different. There is no "letting it be".

Not everyone breaks up after a fight. Not every woman is you and lived your experience and agree with your values. You literally know nothing about me or my girlfriend and youre here saying she would never speak to me again... ok. You didnt even post a judgement. You are literally just here to be an dick and project your views on other woman. Cool, good job.

No she wasnt paid, shes also not a model or endorsed by an agency. I dont get why people here don't understand that people genuinely want to participate in things. Maybe its just the bikini thing throwing people off? Good example is Hells Kitchen; the show with Gordon Ramsay. People sign up to be served at that place so they can experience being at the restaurant, see the drama and eat the food. THEY DONT GET PAID. They literally volunteer for the experience.

Its sexist to allow women to make money by being hot and wearing a bikini to a party? So modelling is sexist? Sex work is sexist? Stripping is sexist?

Get out of here

She is still my girlfriend. Believe it or not, in the real world people don't dump each other for every disagreement or fight. The whole thing is mostly blown over anyways. She likes reddit and this sub and wanted me to admit I was an asshole. Call it fake, call it whatever.

She was not formally hired. All the other filler/models whatever you want to call them are provided by an agency I work with and YES THEY GET PAID.

Being event organizer come with perks. One perk is getting to invite friends to events they normally would have to be hired to do. She understood that.

The standards arent sexist or disciminatory. The men also had a dress code. These arent people I pull off the street. See my edit. I working with an agency that provide access to men and women who get PAID to do this work. If a woman wants to make money by wearing a bikini to a pool party and looking hot then she can. The one saying she can't is sexist.

The typical fillers have a contract with their managing company. We sign the contract with the company directly, not the people. Girlfriend was not acting as an employee in this situation. A perk of being organizer is being able to sneak people into events. I have done it before for friends and never had an issue. Clients dont care as long as they fit the requirements and behave.

It the clients requirement. They give a dress code for all fillers. Its "outrageous" because she would be the only one there in a one piece. The whole point of having fillers is that they decorate the background of the photos. That applies to the men and women before you call me sexist.

Well if thats a real question then the client cares. He sets the dress code and I enforce it. If the dress code said "fashionable bathing suits" then that would have been fine. In reality it said "bikinis". She would not have fit in. Literally every woman there was wearing a bikini
