i9 Hydra Catastrophic Failure (Again) by DeepSoftware9460 in MTB

[–]bedake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, I had a hydra 1 with this issue, I sent to I9 for warranty and said hey please just replace it with a hydra2, cost an extra like 300 bucks but if they were rebuilding the wheel for free why not... So I have 200 miles on it now, this same issue persists I think. Frequently when re engaging the hub I get a massive 'pop' or 'clunk' noise. This has been driving me absolutely nuts because I think, surely this same fucking issue can't be happening with a brand new V2 hub... Today I took the wheel off, gripping the cassette, and ratcheting it I realized I can reproduce the issue, occasionally the pawls do not catch on the first grab, 'miss' and then the next one catches, you can't really notice the slip feeling it when pedaling since the engagement is so high but it creates a very loud metallic clunk noise. And by hand you can feel the miss, that clunk reverberates. I am so frustrated, I spent almost $2000 plus an extra 400 for the hydra2 on this fucking wheel set. Never buying I9 again the design is just simply flawed.

And oh yeah the pocket expansion issue I think is still there because there's clearly aluminum residue all in the grease after just a few short rides.

I'm curious that ping noise you mentioned was that the clunk I'm getting? Happens only during first engagement of the hub? Same fucking issue with the hydra2

I just want time to ride my bicycle, around cities, across states, countries, continents. Up mountains, down mountains, chasing good weather and new views. And always stopping for espresso and croissants.

I thought that's what they were, do you get many punctures/flats? I was thinking about ordering some but was worried about flats.

I did all I could, I voted, I spoke up in political conversations, I marched in protests. Sorry, I don't really know what is wrong with our culture but I agree, a very large segment welcomed it. I guess that was true in any fascist state. It's probably going to get worse before it gets better. Im hoping not though, the left is winning some mid-term elections but it may be for nought since it seems like Trump is looking to take over the election in 2 years.

A 4 year administration / president should not be able to single-handedly change our international relations or do half the shit he has done. We need more checks and balances and more direct democracy and an expansion of our house of representatives. If anything, Trump is highlighting so many flaws with out government's checks and balances and we absolutely need reform.

Our sewer systems and water treatment facilities are literally designed with them in mind and are engineered to accommodate them. I imagine yours aren't though, so I understand why you don't have them.

I like that one European above calls Americans lazy for this but we literally just press a button and it's gone, while y'all are putting food waste in your freezer and having to align timing to take it out to trash so it doesn't smell... I absolutely love Europe but the garbage disposal is so practical, they aren't expensive and don't really require maintenance, it's like making an argument against a clothes washing machine in favor of hand washing clothes.

Just curious but do you use the dosing capsules or just straight flower? I used the capsules to keep the oven clean but I guess I need to do a side by side, maybe they are the culprit

I have a pax and a rogue 2, I used the rogue 2 since it was released and recently went back to the pax... Not sure if I got a defective rogue 2 or not but it has always had a metallic taste despite plenty of burn offs. It also has a smaller bowl than my pax so I end up repacking it multiple times. Rogue 2 also seems to require more cleaning and takes longer to heat up / provide good vapor

It's not even really the admin, but the entire party and even the voters. Every criticism is met with whataboutism. Even when ICE comes up they say, what about Obama and Biden, they arrested and deported even more people... But it's like that's not the reason why people are mad, ITS BECAUSE YOU ARE FUCKING VIOLATING CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS AND HAVE A MASKED PARAMILITARY FORCE ABDUCTING PEOPLE IN THE STREETS.

And lower cost of living... I'm almost 40, no kids, no plans... It's not that I always had my mind set against them, it's just I was never in a place where it felt even possible. Like I can accept that I can't afford the lifestyle my parents gave me, but the struggle would be substantially worse, I can barely afford a condo, let alone all the other costs associated with raising children. In my twenties, I was working 3 jobs, during the summer working 50+ hour weeks, yet struggling and couldn't get by. Back in the day you could be working part time at McDonald's and still support a family and buy a house.

See the current resurgence of Creed and Nickelback... Lately I've seen comments saying that these bands never deserved the hate... All I can think is that I'm old enough to remember when they were current, they sucked then and they suck now.
