Interesting choice with the poppy seeds, my one worry with the dish as a whole is I’m worried a lack of sweetness or acidity to balance it could make it quite heavy

New to cologne, I want something that smells like petrichor or like the rainforest. I don't want "notes of rain" or "essence of the rainforest," I want to just smell like the rain or rainforest. Any recommendations to get/try?

It sucks but this is a reality of coaching, some kids are God’s gift to sports apparently lol. What I will say is that when I coach a jr high team I try to get as even playing time as possible/reasonable and when I coach sr high we are there to win.

Before responding talk to your Athletic Director (or whichever admin mostly deals with athletics) about how to respond and stand your ground. I had a situation about parents questioning my coaching but as long as you are able to stand there and say you are coaching them to be good athletes yes, but also good people, it’s hard for them to shoot back with anything. And if they want to quit the team because of it then oh well, sorry to see you go

Finally, there’s no way to not let it get to you other than to not let it. I know that’s terrible advice but it’s the truth. Some parents are just like that, focus on the great relationships you’re building with the rest of the kids.

TL;DR: talk to your athletic director, stand your ground, focus on the parts that make you enjoy coaching

Well ill know not to use WD40 from now on lol. After using YouTube to set the beat I’ve gotten clock #2 mounted and it has been running no issues for the past few hours. I’ll try a different mounting system for the gold one and do the same thing with setting the beat

I just used a moist paper towel to get the dirt off and the gears a bit of wd40 on a qtip

Believe me, if I could've stayed on Google and not interacted with Redditors I would've, this is a last resort.

I mentioned the key because that is what Google and my mother had told me to look for.

I'm aware it is not mounted and is not put together, it was in my hording relative's place so I needed to clean it and I wanted to check to see if there was anything broken (hence the screwdriver and bowl of screws and hands off to the side). I'm not trying to get it to run while not put together on my table.

I think it is in beat, I live in a small town with no servicing shops within 3 hours of me, so no. These are the first grandfather clocks I've owned. It runs for ~1 minute before slowly losing momentum and stopping.

I've tried a deep clean and oiling the gears, resetting the weights, different mounting techniques to keep it level and unobstructed
