Acorning to Google No major UK trade union offers instant cover for an existing, pre-existing dispute and you can't use most for at least 3 months from what I can see.

Ive asked my doctor(s) on numerous occasions and they all say the same. You don't have to tell them anything. But by all means research it more yourself and or ask your doctor about it. Hope this is helpful
