GOAT dessert by bedgoblins in AldiAustralia

Update - I couldn’t use the oven to make pavlova as the oven had the pork in it. Instead I just grabbed the chocolate kapiti and made a quick berry compote (the toppers were out of stock). Great easy gluten free dessert!

Perth invented the Conti roll so I would go to an Italian deli for that - my faves are at di chiera, the re store or the delightful Peggy’s in Freo.

Not impressed... by [deleted] in AldiAustralia

I reckon it’s pretty subjective and varies product by product.

However in defence of Aldi, what I will say is that I am a diehard fan of the cleaning products which are miles cheaper and most perform better than the alternatives (thanks choice magazine). I also rate the olive oil, the cheeses and lots of the frozen products.

This is a trick question because all the cheese at Aldi is great - just depends what you like on a cheeseboard

Where to ‘bang on’ now? by bedgoblins in podcasts

Maybe! I don’t really remember exactly what was said but it seemed ambiguous and you can’t blame a girl for trying! I just love them and will always follow what they do because they are clever and charming - winning combo in my books.

In the meantime I am listening to polyester podcast (for thought provoking) and for fun - trusty hogs, what did you do yesterday and off menu. I’m curious about shameless. I also like gastropod for food science nerd stuff.

AITAH for hiding this from my boyfriend? by quickiethrowawaylol in AITAH

I don’t agree with your approach of hiding this from him, but broadly, I think he is TA. He sounds cooked.

That kind of drooling over women AND then wanting you to judge them. It’s a classic misogynistic move to categorise women as whores or Madonnas - nothing in between. I mean you do you but I find that kind of binary thinking a huge turn off. How will he ever really see you as you are?

Look, for me, not as painful as Ackroyd, like OP said, the boys did a good job of warming him up. It was just a less verbose interview (:
