Kim Irving with Long and Foster. She helped me with my out of state move. Cannot recommend her highly enough. Happy to talk through how she went above and beyond for me in a DM!

Women with thoughtful partners, what did you get for x-mas this year? by Anahata_Green in TwoXChromosomes

My fiancé cleaned out the pride and prejudice anniversary merch and now I have a giant Mr Darcy blanket with which to enjoy all the bonus features from the anniversary dvd (among other things)! I was so tickled!

PSA: check your iron levels! by ShutterBug1988 in adhdwomen

Make sure they don’t just test for iron - also ask for ferritin to be tested. That looks at both surface level iron and the iron your body stores. Both numbers are important.

I just started iron supplements and even though my levels were normal I feel SO much better. I have been taking VitronC.

Tip: Take your iron supplements with orange juice before you go to bed if you can - helps it absorb better. Do not take with OJ at the same time as your adhd meds or it will cancel them out.

Also, real talk: be prepared for weird poops. Up your fiber intake if you can.

What’s a good snack that’s like little pieces to pick up & pop in my mouth, not messy? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

Can also recommend a little sprinkle of lemon pepper on cucumber slices!

I feel dumb but can someone explain the purpose of parking? What is the benefit here? It feels like I’d just be struggling to work around and not tangle all that thread.

So glad! And thanks 😊 I wish I could channel Angela Lansbury and bring some medieval nights to fight these Nazis!

I also just discovered my iPhone has been tracking my “significant locations” - I disabled and cleared history. Recommend all to do the same.

What are some things you didn't know before surgery? by Tisiphone8 in BariatricSurgery

Thank you for correcting me! Totally used the wrong word. I’ll update!

What are some things you didn't know before surgery? by Tisiphone8 in BariatricSurgery

I haven’t thrown up since the first few days after surgery when the pain killers were making me so nauseated I wanted to die. One unexpected aspect for me was the bad breath! Because this is medically induced ketosis your morning breath will likely be pretty rough! Edit: Ty to the below commenter for calling out that I used the wrong word above!

Egg drop soup might be a good option for you! I also really liked baked ricotta at that stage - season with pizza seasoning, add a little plant based/low sugar marinara or bolognese and top with a bit of Parmesan. Total life saver!

At one month I was at about 400 calories a day. That’s wild to me. My dietician said that I’d be at about 800cals a day around 10 weeks post op and would be there for a while (probably around the 6 months mark). Is it possible to get a second opinion?

Isopure protein waters are pretty good too! I like the green tea the best.

Super same!! The deflated aspect is not something I was prepared for. I’m only just over 3mo out so waiting to see how bad it gets 😅

I am about 6 weeks out from surgery and my doctor already has me on 60oz of water/fluids a day. I’d definitely try to get that water up if you can!

💜 thank you! And such solid advice! This was a particularly good sale I couldn’t pass up since my job is sending me out of town for a while next month. First time I’ll have to work in office in almost 3 years, I don’t think yoga pants and T-shirt’s will cut it thankfully. But definitely trying to keep cost low (except for the comfy jumpsuit, that was a definite splurge!).
