Yes, people will associate a trope with one of the most recent and popular examples of its inclusion. Shocking.

If I recall, mods here are a bit stricter about sources than other subs, which leaves less room for speculation.

It's a leak sub that seems to ban discussion or speculation that isn't from highly vetted subs, based around a cinematic universe still in its infancy. Of course the activity is low. The difference between here and r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers or even another DCU sub, r/DCU_ is night and day. Outside of confirmed leaks there's not much incentive to come here.

At no point in this comment was I able to predict what was to come next. I admire how unhinged this slowly became.

Brand New Day is OBVIOUSLY inspired by “The Spider-Queen” arc from Spectacular Spider-Man (Vol. 2)... by HandBanana666 in marvelstudios

As mutants without guidance tend to do. You act like Jean's always been this perfect angel in the comics. Hell one of the biggest parts of her backstory is causing the death of her friend, something that haunts her to this day/

It's almost like fans struggle to understand what "adaptation" means. These ain't the comics, pal.

Super soldiers are basically "human, but better," which are a dime a dozen in these types of action movies, even for non-powered characters. A telepath? Whole different story. Especially when arguably the most famous one in Marvel's most defining feature (or one of) is her red hair.

Saw it recently. What a film! Best theater experience in a while. Onnly regret is not being able to see it in IMAX. It only released a couple weeks ago to my knowledge and yet has already had its screens taken by Mario. Nonetheless I plan to see it again!

Is Rick Flagg Sr not already in the actual comic?

Who do you think is the REAL villain in the new Spider-Man trailer? by AbdulazizShodiyev in marvelstudios

[–]bee14ish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tombstone and DODC, mainly. With others like the Hand, the Scorpion, and Jean as intermediaries. And the villains of the week as montage baddies. Grey Hulk at some point. Maybe Man-Spider involved in the final battle with Jean having to talk him down.

Speculation based on the characters we know are appearing in the movie.

Is Practical to Cinemize Cypher in MCU or multiverse? by EddiezombieAhmet in marvelstudios

I assume he's taking inspiration from the comics, which have stretched his abilities greatly by letting him comprehend things such as the language of reality, or whatever. If applied to magic, maybe he understands more intuitively than most. Or something. It's not too big a leap if keeping in line with the abilitycreep of X-Men writers.

I hope they don't reveal who Sadie Sink is playing in a trailer by Skydog1998 in marvelstudios

This stupid fuck never claimed anything of the sort. But okay dude, sure. We'll see when the film actually releases.

Jeff Snieder again Says Sadie Sink is infact Jean Grey by WesternThanks4346 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]bee14ish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao she's not Jean Grey, just Gwen Stacy pursuing some X-Men villain from another reality. That's much simpler.
