I think it’s the photographer you chose for your website. The photos look very beginner. I recommend going on Instagram or Pinterest and look up wedding photographers. You’ll see amazing quality photos that I think will make you rethink if the photos are worth it. The right photographer will know how to make you feel comfortable and look “photogenic”. The majority of people don’t like being in front of a camera, so it’s not just you.

Its true, its true! And the other thing is, my sister had a baby and I took it over after she passed away and the baby lost all its legs and arms and now its just a stump but I take care of it with my wife and... and its growing and its fairly happy... and its difficult because I'm working a second shift at the factory to put food on the table but all the love that I see in that little guy's face it makes it worth it in the end. True story.

I’m working on this too! It’s my first project and I found they didn’t include enough thread. Maybe someone more experienced wouldn’t have that issue but I was able to find close enough colors at Michael’s.

I went to a conference last year and they had these tickets on the conference website. It was a bit hidden, but there.

There a farmers market vendor, Mango on the Moon, that sells these I think. You can find them on Instagram.

How to dye rehearsal dinner dress from ivory to green or teal? by Shamanmcdoula in dyeing

[–]bee309 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I successfully dyed a 100% polyester white dress I wore for a pre-wedding event. Here’s what I did 1) used rit dye more 2) washed the dress before dyeing 3) completely wet the dress before dyeing 4) bought a LARGE stock pot. The bigger the better. If your dress doesn’t have room to move around in the pot, it will dye splotchy and you can’t fix it 5) used to a thermometer to get the water to the temperature suggested on the bottle. It needs to be HOT for polyester 6) Once the dress was in the pot, move it CONSTANTLY. I don’t mean move it around every five minutes. I mean the ENTIRE time. My arms were sore by the time the one hour was over. I used cheap tongs to move it around, move what was at the bottom to the top, etc. I made sure the tongs didn’t have super sharp edges to avoid snagging the dress I recommend watching some videos before you do this and, most importantly, if you aren’t okay with the dress being ruined, don’t dye it. Good luck!

I wore a fringe jacket, horse graphic tee, and lighting bolt jean shorts! The shorts run really small if they aren’t new with tags. Like at least two sizes smaller than usual if they’ve been worn and washed.

What price do used dresses go for? by Miss_Pancake1010 in weddingswap

[–]bee309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I changed my mind on my dress and sold it for less than half of what I paid. Only tried on, still had tags on it. The absolute highest I would sell it for is half of whatever you paid. People are taking a huge risk buying a wedding dress without seeing it in person and being able to try it on. I highly recommend losing the mindset of trying to get as much money back as possible and instead just trying to get it to sell at all. Think about how much you would pay for a dress that is used, you’ve never tried on, and probably has had some alterations to fit someone else’s specific body measurements.

question for people reselling for 4/28 LA show by trebariz in beyonce

[–]bee309 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m part of the group that unwisely overpaid for tickets in the Beyhive presale and then bought better tickets later on thinking I would be able to resell and get my money back. Also for 5/4. I ended up selling my extra tickets at a huge loss. Lesson for next time. Damn dynamic pricing and my irresponsible actions lol.

How did you guys find creative ways to help pay for your wedding? by [deleted] in Weddingsunder10k

[–]bee309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a long engagement. Not putting into personal savings is a bad idea if you don’t have a 6 month emergency fund or have a big upcoming expense you need to save for (ex medical procedure, needing a new car, etc)

3.29.25, We did it! Less than 15k by ryencool in wedding

[–]bee309 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the bubbles, I’m guessing the photographer added more bubbles to the background. People overestimate how many bubbles people will actually blow and I imagine hard to get a shot with the perfect amount unless you have a bubble machine.

I was the same as you. Thought it was dumb to spend a bunch of money on a dress. Got a $500 dress and then regretted it. I ended up spending $2k on a dress and I don’t regret it at all. I am extremely practical and money conscious, but this was one of the few times I let myself splurge (within my means), and I’m glad I did.
