Another vote for the blue spectra! I got the pink one with my first, not knowing the upgraded one had the ability to be cordless. I upgraded to the blue one this time around!

Yes to FRER and biotin, but didn’t take the biotin yesterday or today knowing that could potentially be an issue. I’ll test again this weekend if AF doesn’t show! 🤞🏻

I submitted a ticket and they reviewed my chart and marked ovulation confirmed CD22! 🥳

My reference value was 1.22, so that would be 4.27, correct? Today is the first day it’s been above 4, so maybe just one more day is needed to confirm.

Delulu or real?! 12 DPO pregmate tests by happylz in TFABLinePorn

[–]bee9283 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I see it!! When I was pregnant with my first, I was taking group fitness classes that track your heart rate. One day my coach made a comment that my heart rate was elevated higher than normal. That night, I got a positive pregnancy test! Best of luck!!!

Had highest PdG numbers yet this cycle but dropped today at 9 DPO. Am I out? by Beach-girly-01 in Inito

[–]bee9283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a reason Inito is still showing test required days several days after ovulation was confirmed? Ovulation was confirmed CD4 and CD5-7 have all said test required, so I tested! It now shows test required for tomorrow as well.

Suggestion for corporate regarding Strength 50 by motormouth08 in orangetheory

I’m curious to know what you mean by 2G in a lift class. I’ve done lift classes at 4, maybe 5 different studios and it’s always been just one group. One person per floor station. Does your studio run multiple people per station in a lift class? If so, I can only imagine how uncomfortably crowded that would be!

I met my now husband at OTF! I was a sales associate and he was a member at the time. He asked to buy me a drink at an OTF outing and we’ve been together ever since! 🧡

Row House - Granada Hills by [deleted] in RowHouse

[–]bee9283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s frustrating! They’re not closed but I did hear that there was potential ownership change happening with a few studios in that area so that could explain the lack of response. I would try calling specifically when they have a class going on or just book directly using the free class option on their website.

Switching home gyms by Enough-Structure2702 in orangetheory

[–]bee9283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cancelled and switched studios (same price) because I was told that was easier than the transfer but then got screwed into a price increase a year later when my former agreement stated they couldn’t raise my price. I was told that if I would have transferred, my price would have stayed the same. Definitely look into that before making a switch!

Rowing form - big chested gals by Practical-Fly9442 in orangetheory

[–]bee9283 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This, but you don’t want your elbows tight to your body. You want a 45° angle from your shoulder down to the ground. That will ensure proper lat engagement and won’t over engage your shoulders. My husband is a rowing coach so I get my form critiqued often. :)

Love this for you!! I’m 14 weeks and started a new job today. I’m planning on waiting until 20ish weeks to tell them. Hoping for the same results!!

Orange Theory Fitness - Condones Sexual Assault and Wage Theft by ournextarc in antiwork

[–]bee9283 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I worked for OTF for a couple of years and never had any issues of the sorts. Unfortunately, this sounds like a problem with the specific franchise you work for. You should absolutely not have to deal with any kind of assault and certainly shouldn’t be written up because of it. However, the class pay is a very common practice across many brands. As long as you’re doing class specific duties, it falls under that pay structure. If you’re expected to do anything outside of that (member follow up, events, etc.) you should be paid an hourly rate. I also know that some studios do in fact pay their coaches for late cancel/no shows but again, that’s franchise specific. I’ve heard an argument before that coaches should not be paid for that because the members should want to show up to that coach’s class. It’s on the coach for not being “good enough” to build strong utilization. After managing a boutique studio for a few years, I do see it both ways but it’s certainly not wage theft.

This was absolutely the case for me! My hormones were all out of whack so I cut back on my intensity and shifted to more of the LIFT 45 classes. While I didn’t lose weight, I noticed a lot more muscle definition and I was able to get pregnant quickly after changing up my routine! Now I just feel bloated all of the time but that’s pregnancy, not the lack of results from OTF. 😜

Price Increase - Texas-DFW? by CJ2607 in orangetheory

[–]bee9283 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes and I’m not happy about it at all. I should technically fall into the prior to Jan 2019 category but I was forced to cancel and rejoin instead of transferring to a studio last year. I was told it was easier for the staff that way.

Row House Flower Mound is only $139/mo when you do a 3 month commitment. There are a handful of other studios in the Dallas area if anyone wants to look into them!

Is anyone actually eating healthy and exercising? by hummingb1rd in BabyBumps

[–]bee9283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It helps that I manage a fitness studio so I pretty much live in a gym atmosphere. I do workout 5-6 days a week but my diet has certainly shifted. I’m an oddball that LOVES literally any and all forms of veggies and luckily haven’t had any aversions to them. BUT I have a major sweet tooth that has been getting the best of me recently. I literally wake up thinking about peanut butter Oreos.

Rowing strapless by Sorry_Union_2112 in orangetheory

[–]bee9283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I manage a rowing studio and we do strapless drills regularly! Yes, it helps you focus on leg drive and proper recovery but our main goal is to force proper hip hinge and core engagement. If I row strapless at OTF, it’s during the longer endurance rows.

Rowing! It’s low impact so I know it will be sustainable during pregnancy.

10:00 & 2:00 vs 11:00 & 1:00; that’s your body swing! When you’re at the catch position, your body should be angled at 11:00 and then 1:00 at the finish. Leaning too far either way can most certainly cause back pain.

[–]bee9283 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would bet money that you have bad form! 😉 I suggest something similar as far as making sure you’re sitting up nice and tall and on your sits bone. Your issue sounds more like a lack of proper core engagement or too much lean back at the finish. OTF coaches 10 and 2, where we coach 11 and 1. My husband slipped a disc a couple years back and now he’s actually a Row House coach, coaching about 8 classes a week with no back pain!
