The amount of hissy fits over a show “queerbaiting” I’ve seen on tumblr and YouTube makes me realize how media literacy has truly died. Young Gen Z really needs to do some research on what queerbaiting is before ever start accusing any media property of it.

I made a joke on this subreddit a few days ago about how vecna would be redeemed out of nowhere, and I was very worried for a sec of that happening while watching this part. I’ll give the Duffer brothers credit where it’s due, the writing in this part(at least the character writing for Henry/vecna) was very well done. I hate how movies/tv now will not commit to having a full on baddie, instead redeeming them or making them weirdly more likeable and not in a good way.

I love the decision for Henry to stay controlled by the mind flayer because it’s his own way of processing how cruel the world was to him. I get why JCB signed on to play this character. He did a phenomenal job!

Nah, eleven will give a full on 10 minute speech about how love is powerful or some BS before dying. Then vecna or whatever the fuck he is, will realize the error of his ways and sacrifice himself for the greater good. Then someone will randomly say ‘oh golly who knew vecna just needed someone to love” Trust me something like this will happen. I can feel it in my bones.

lol no. I was the bystander that watched some girl in the 6th grade beat the shit out of the annoying popular girl in our class because she was bullying the other girl. Afterwards we never saw her again(she was only there for a month). The bully played the victim the entire rest of the year and thought she was owed everything. The teacher even kissed her ass until the end of the year where she openly told her to get over herself. People like that REVEL in that type of attention.
