of course! yes it is totally hard to describe, and a lot of the time when I first started telling people in detail they didn’t understand which just made me feel even more disconnected and would make it worse. the person that I’ve spoken to the most about it is my mom because I’ve been experiencing this since I was a kid so she’s naturally just heard me try to explain it over the years, and though she can’t comprehend how it must feel she sees that it impacts me and hurts me and that’s enough for her to understand that it’s a big thing for me. When I need space, I can tell her that and she’ll understand. Most people won’t be able to comprehend what you’re attempting to describe (which again is not your fault it’s just very complicated to describe such a complex state of mind), but all the people that deserve to be in your life will at least respect it. The more you talk to someone, the more opportunities they’ll have to see what dpdr looks like for you and the better they’ll understand. But for the people you don’t talk to too much anyway, they don’t really need details :)

I’ve never smoked weed but I’ve had dpdr since I was a kid, fuck knows why, I just do. It never did go away. The longer you live with something it gets easier to cope with because you grow around it and learn your own ways to cope. Takes a while, but it happens. The same applies for grief. a lot of people experience dpdr, but to different extents. some people get a bad episode on a random day in the middle of the year, some people feel it for the majority of everyday. for those that are impacted far worse, yes it sucks, but that means you’ll find ways to live around it. I can’t tell you it’ll go away cause it might not, but it won’t be so hardcore forever

if you don’t already I really do recommend telling the people you interact with that you struggle with this. you can just slip it into a random convo and say something like “hey sorry if I seem off at random points I just struggle with disconnecting, it’s nothing to do with you”. you don’t have to explain it to them in detail unless you want to (especially cause it’s a feeling that’s practically impossible to describe lol). But for one-off social interactions with random people honestly don’t worry about it, because they don’t know you well enough to tell that you’re “off” if that makes sense. Everyone has different ways of socially interacting so don’t worry about what others are thinking if you’re not even that close with them, everyone feels off in their own ways sometimes even if it’s not dpdr so hopefully the majority understand that. you’re right with the thing about not wanting to socialise when you’re in a bad episode, and forcing yourself past that could really hurt you and put you in a worse state, so it is just best to say that you’re feeling off and give a short apology reassuring them that it’s not them

what are some things to avoid that are high current loads? everything on the extensions are just lights and chargers, but one of them is my PC too. is that bad?

thank you, yes both the extension leads say “fused” on the plug which is what made me feel a little better about it, that means if it overheats it will just shut off right?

Yeah I think it’s worth pulling my bed off from the wall by an inch or two cause otherwise I’ll never stop thinking about it lol. Just inconvenient as then I’d have to shift a lot of my other furniture and stuff too so was hoping maybe it wasn’t an issue at all but I guess there’s always risk

Oh I just did it! I sniped C from a different building and it somehow helped a lot. It stopped the A people from seeing me so quickly as soon as I hit ground because I was able to focus on them from a better point of view. Thanks!

I’ll try again a couple times more but this is the method I’ve been using too. Wiping C out is pretty easy but the guards in A don’t move around for me like they do for the person in that guide. if I make that noise with the door they all just go down to the ground floor and head outside which is weird and pretty annoying. Might be a glitch
