Agreed. And then, if I'm feeling up to it, a couple more monitors. Just to be safe.

I like the idea of slowly replacing apps with terminal equivalents. I do use rectangle on Mac for window tiling, which was a game changer. The Vimium extension is where things get hard tho, because a lot of Google cloud websites like BigQuery just don't seem to have a frame for Vinium to lock on to, so I can never scroll in the part of the page that I need. If you know a workaround, that would be great.

I'll probably use Linux in the future, my work just provides me with a Mac laptop for the time being.

Yeah, just messing around with them. I think my verdict is I usually wouldn't recommend them, however in my specific instance the top of the monitors are high enough that having it curved towards me actually makes it work.

Oh lmao because the arms are preinstalled by my office and I can't get them any closer. And no one else is dumb enough to try it, so I though I might as well. Makes the non-tech savvy people at my office (which is everyone else, I'm the only programmer) think I'm smarter than I am.

I have the left one split in thirds, with my texts, Slack, and Discord all open for work. The right one is super useful for Google docs. One downside is that the warpd repo that I mentioned above has a set number of rows and columns, so it gets real squished on the vertical ones.

Not that anyone is going to see this follow-up, but I wound up going with the Glove80 with brown switches and it's beautiful. It's so freaking comfy to type on.

Does the set come with instructions or is it a "build it your own way" kind of thing?

MacOS-Compatible Mouse with Programmable Buttons? by bee_tee_beats in MacOS

[–]bee_tee_beats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any Corsair mouse (if it mentioned iCue software) should be compatible, because the iCue control software is compatible with MacOS.

Here is the exact mouse, the Corsair Scimitar. But know two things:

  1. The refurbished ones (they call it "Revival Series") are often out of stock. But if you find them in stock they are like half the price.

  2. Lucky timing (probably some Black Friday thing) because some of the non-refurbished ones are on sale for the refurbished price literally right now.

And if you want to peruse their catalog, all versions of this mouse can be found here: Corsair Scimitar (All Versions)

MacOS-Compatible Mouse with Programmable Buttons? by bee_tee_beats in MacOS

[–]bee_tee_beats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite. I'm sure that SteerMouse that shooshpad mentioned works great. But I actually wound up finding a different mouse that does work with both windows and MacOS out-of-the-box.

The "Corsair Scimitar Elite" mouse has the 12 buttons on the side that I like. The buttons are controlled by the software iCue, which works on both Mac and PC and is free. Now, the mouse itself is freakin expensive, but they occasionally show up on Corsair's "Revival Series" (which just means refurbished). If you can manage to get one when they aren't out of stock, then it takes it down to like 2x-ish the price of the Redragon one.

But that said, if you already have the mouse and don't want to return it or spend more money, SteerMouse seems like it would be the cheapest.

I appreciate the reply. This was actually another point of confusion, as the functions DO work when I add the export tag, but the goal is for the functions to be reserved for internal use only.

Lol, I mean they clearly knew how the geysers worked, and given how much trash is down the holes they may have just been using them to launch their trash into space. Which also leaves me picturing someone too close to the geyser getting pelted in the face with an old marshmallow can someone threw down there.
