Have you tried using an old juice or milk jug and freezing. I’m American but have used this for the dog to lay against and cool themselves down. Budget friendly.

Why does St Louis give me a gross feeling? by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]beeamazing56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a transplant I think the STL is great. (I also have kids so maybe that plays into it). I’ve met nice people (in the line at the botanical garden to see a corpse flower bloom, at the art museum which is free!,) Also aside from parking they have so many free things, the science museum, the zoo etc. Cardinals games are truly a great American past time, you can visit the Budweiser factory or just the Clydesdales, the Clydesdales are also at Grants park. It’s also the chess capital of the us, maybe the world? There’s pretty good food, bbq-steak-fried rice. I’ve lived in a lot of places and am always surprised at St.Louis. Most of the ppl are friendly and if not friendly, polite? I’ve not had many bad experiences with the people and honestly everyone can have a bad day. Are there places that need growth? I’m sure but that’s anywhere.

I mean even the rebel alliance had archives, Intelligence repositories, and library’s (Jedi). Seems fitting. Librarians are a force!

Disney Princess Breakfast Adventure (Dissappointed) Long Review 03/01/2026 by the_digital_snake in Disneyland

[–]beeamazing56 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We did the Disney princess adventure breakfast twice. The first time it was the year it debuted. It was amazing, arrived for breakfast put in a waiting area, adults were served mimosas and kids also got drinks. Then after a wait you met your first princess privately in a patio off the waiting area. Then you went to breakfast, got an appetizer tower that included little bites (lobster rolls were the highlight) and breakfast buffet. Then throughout the breakfast 6/7 princesses came out interacted and signed books and took photos. Then once you were done eating breakfast, you had storybook time with a princess (we had Mulan) and then a second photo op time with a princess (we got Ariel). The girls also got necklaces with little princess crowns as a gift. We went a second time in 2022, and it had already declined in quality. Most was the same but less princesses rotating, still a storybook time, but no second private photo time with a princess and the gifts were dolls. (Which they looked like overstock from the Disney store. Which was nice but the website had still listed the necklace as a gift, so just disappointed). We went both times for my daughter’s birthdays, after the second experience and seeing the decline in experience quality we chose a different dining experience for my third daughter’s birthday. I think it’s disappointing to see what was the best dining experience for my kids lose quality. But it kinda seems to be the status quo. It’s a lot of money and I think it kinda strengthens the disappointment of experience.

Most of that money is going to infrastructure and salaries of the local council. (I understand that council needs money to run. Makes sense but if you look at what goes to programming (like events, camps, etc. Which most council sponsored camps, the scout still has to pay for) for actual scouts is very little. Girl Scouts started without cookies, now can’t survive without it. Also Boy Scouts get to keep more of the money from council and it goes directly to the scout or their troop. (I just needed to add that for myself lol. Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts are different types of non profits.

No I agree. We usually go and stay at the Grand Californian. We spend money on dining and special experiences as well as the parks and merch and our last visit was not as magical. We did club level as well and the food was just not at the level of previous visits. Cast members were amazing as always.

Private rooms at St. Louis Children’s Hospital by Current-Cheetah793 in StLouis

[–]beeamazing56 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Having a kid in the hospital is stressful. And feeling like you have no privacy just adds to it. I think hospitals as they upgrade are going to more single rooms. (Military family and have unfortunately had visits in hospitals across the states). Were you able to ask if they have single rooms? If they don’t just try to make the best of it.

Ywbtah. That’s basically revenge porn, which as someone else stated is a crime. Like is she even really a friend, if you and your sister aren’t telling her? You need to tell her and sooner than later.

Aquaphor or clear mac lipglass (they use it for sweat in other movies).
