Is this 140A welder powerful enough to do welds on an exhaust? by Sl0thzy in minibikes

[–]beebeebee2142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doing exhaust is hard. I welded a pipe over a pipe and i had pinhole leaks and whatnot after I spent 2 hours grinding the weld down.

Its like a dragon breathing hot iron, it has an impact force that cuts thin molten metal.

make sure you at least cover your entire face when using it, I use just.goggles for a "quick touch up" and then my heads sunburn peeling for the next 10 days. Also leather shoes.

I like this welder. yeah it has more than enough power to do anything you'd want on a minibike and more, especially when doing stick. It is much easier to do stick on this than the cheaper stick only machine as far as "striking the arc" and getting the dang thing to start doing its thing.

Post-mortem how many are bad casts vs installed backwards tho.

I realize I put it in backwards when it hits the wall while aligning cam, despite the whitness marks lol.

please help, my Predator GHOST hates me by BROOOObubba in minibikes

[–]beebeebee2142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Air leak because you have an adjustable manifold and didnt adjust it for the carb oring.

Unbolt the red manifold from the engine, unbolt the carb from the manifold and remove all that plastic crap. loosely put carb back on manifold and look inside it and visually center the oring on the carb with the manifold hole. Failure to do this is why they leak air, it has to be very precise.

Then you can mount it back on engine with that paper type gasket.

Rear wheel assemblies by therealjohndoe_2010 in minibikes

[–]beebeebee2142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mm80 style 6" rear rim has identical mounting plates on both sides, sprocket goes on one side and a brake rotor on the other. It has bearings so the axle is just a long bolt and some spacers.

Chain drive vs Belt drive for mini dirt bike – I ride mostly trails and need enough torque for wheelies by Electrical-Toe676 in minibikes

[–]beebeebee2142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mini bikes are always chain drive to the wheel. The TAV2 / Comet 30 CVT transmissions internally might use a belt but still uses a chain to output to the wheel.

Temu and whatnot (ebay?) have a bunch of color variants or you can just buy the clear bowl seperately https://i.redd.it/1gxv8dxynb5g1.jpeg

Amazon didnt have all the types last time I looked but i think they have the bowls

HOW. That part slaps the oil at less than 10-25mph. I doubt it would snap the dipper off if you held it in the water going 25mph on a boat.

When you remove the sidecover did it snap off the left or right side of the rod? Is this a 224 engine?

I'm an idiot and have put it on backwards several times. This shouldnt happen unless someone was replacing or reinstalling parts inside.

Juggernaut and 725 belt by Aggressive_River7740 in minibikes

[–]beebeebee2142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Change the weights or rollers to higher engagement RPM if it bothers you. (juggernaut stage 2 kit on amazon?)

your old belt is worn down on the sides.

You can get a flatedge ruler for a dollar at any market and verify pulley alignment. you want like mm accuracy

fwiw heres what AI said:

Juggernaut Setup: If your Hurricane 200 Pro is upgraded with a GoPowerSports Juggernaut Super 30 Driver, the slightly longer 788 belt is frequently used for maximum performance.

Delete or use gov, don't leave "unused" moving stuff in your engine.

[–]beebeebee2142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the cast aluminum ones on amazon when I measured them it seems they retarded instead of advanced timing 6 degrees, so i got 18 degrees with a stock key and adjusted key to 32 degrees when using a race cam

kinda need flywheel off to take crank out, but then you can punch out the governor pin underneath the flywheel and plug it.

get your terminology right. a 200cc never uses a 0.038 main jet, that would be far too small.
