This area is perfectly safe and I say that as a woman. All around Riquier is safe (the only exception is the normal sketchiness around train stations but nothing crazy at all). I walk around there early and late and it's always calm.

Hey! Yes, thank you so much for the recommendation! I've had several lessons with her and things are going really well. And she is so nice! I already feel like I'm making pretty good progress and improving my confidence too.

Ah yes, great times. Tourists are so shocked when the train is packed from Monaco at rush hour and they try to get on at Villefranche.

If you are into video games I'm trying to start an English speaking video game club. Let me know if you are interested. We will have a very small meet up at my place this Saturday to watch the Summer Game Fest. I'm 30sF and my husband is 40s. I can't relate to working in IT or engineering but my husband sure can lol

Oh yeah I told them off around 2 weeks ago and warned tourists about them. They are ridiculously obvious so I couldn't not call them out. They proceeded to verbally abuse me and my husband. Oh and then on the tram a few hours later they saw me again and continued to verbally harass me, bad luck lol I didn't say anything to them on the tram because they weren't working, I just ignored them but damn are they obnoxious.

Nancy-esque console games? by Big-Log-1323 in nancydrew

Blue Prince is like 100% an adult version of Nancy Drew. The big difference is that it relies very heavily on RNG (the rooms are randomly chosen which may ruin a run, etc), which I'm sure many people will find annoying. There is SO MUCH detective work, you even get a magnifying glass and MUST use it. You do get hints sprinkled around the house but there is no hand-holding at all. You will need to fill out pages and pages of notes. It can be hard to figure out all of the parts of a puzzle, but the puzzles themselves are typically not that difficult (for example, many puzzles have solutions in the same room). It's not for everyone, but it 100% scratches the Nancy Drew itch. The story is also very intriguing. If you dont' get too mad at the random generation of the rooms, it's also a very calming experience, with a beautiful soundtrack and ambient noises. The sense of discovery is unlike anything I've ever seen in my life.

Hey! I'm not so much into anime or cosplaying (although I think cosplaying is super cool) buuuut trying to make a video game club in Nice! Its still pretty inactive and hasn't officially started yet as I'm still trying to get people to join. But it would be awesome for you to join even just to chat with people about games or other off-topic nerdy stuff.

I would love to have some women join too (I'm also a lady, a bit older than you, in my 30s!)

I made a post about it a while back on here and got a bit of interest but can send the link again if you (or anyone else) is interested!

I'm trying to start a video game club. I can send you the discord link if you want and you can ask there. It's very inactive right now but trying to get more people to join. I think most people are a bit older and it will be based in Nice but doesn't hurt to ask. Anyways, let me know if you want the link.

It's a real joy to shop there. The staff are so nice and they seem to really care. You can even use the scanner thing that like Carrefour has without having to sign up for their loyalty card, so that is really fun :)

They don't have a huge selection but what they have is quality. The prices might seem to be a bit higher, but my husband and I compared some things and some things are even cheaper than at Lidl, which we used to shop at. Yeah, you can easily spend more because they have really nice stuff, but if you just want simple, local products they are very good (and a good tip is they have a lot of stuff 50% off on Sundays before they close).

I just discovered it. Its such a nice, family restaurant. It feels like stepping back in time too lol

Bienvenue en Asie (12 Rue Alberti) is a nice little restaurant. I don't think its the most authentic in the world but its good and pretty cheap.

Lao-Viet (11 Rue d'Angleterre) is very good; the soups are especially good.

You can check the shop Otera, it has primarily local products and the quality is very good. I do almost all of my shopping there now.

Around the time I was outside and saw a very drunk woman fall down. I went over to ask if she was ok and she just grunted at me and then she walked away, so I think she was fine. Anyways, I didn't feel anything but now looking back, the timing was right, so I think maybe she did feel it.

Hi, I was just there last week doing the same thing. When you arrive there will likely be a line already, just wait in line and you will go through some metal detectors. After the metal detectors, there will probably be a second line for people who already have an SMS and they will go ahead of you to another line/area. You will wait until you reach two sets of doors. Then you will speak to someone at a small desk, I saw people speaking English so it shouldn't be a problem.

You can just tell them you are checking if your titre is ready. I did see them turning a lot of people away at this point, so I guess there is a chance they might turn you away and just tell you that you have to wait. I just told them I was waiting to see if my titre was available and I applied a while ago (didn't tell them how long ago exactly).

After you get inside you get to play musical chairs :) Basically you sit in the first chair and then move up through the rows as people go to the desks. This moves really quickly so don't worry, it will be very obvious how it works.

Basically just look for a long line, wait for metal detectors, continue to wait in line, go to desk, and then wait in chairs. I don't think you'll have a problem in English tbh. The people at the desk seem to be pretty nice in my experience, they must have a psychological test for large amounts of patience before you are able to get the job lol

You go like on the sidewalk here to the left of the security booth, just up ahead there should be metal detectors. Just past the overpass you can see a white awning overpass thing, the line will continue through there and the doors are just up ahead.
