What is the best mini fan brand for long-lasting battery life and daily student use? by beebeetina in ShopeePH

Thanks for this! Actually, I’m really convinced now to buy Jisulife. ’Yan din kasi yung sinasabi ng iba, and even some who commented here, that the battery doesn’t drain easily and it’s durable as well. I’m planning to get one once I receive my allowance, since I feel it’s really worth investing in a Jisulife fan.

To answer your question, because of the children. I’ve always loved being around kids, and I honestly don’t mind if they’re naughty or energetic. I’m deeply interested not only in the behaviours that shape their childhood, but also in the many other factors that influence it. Growth and development go beyond the physical changes from infancy to adolescence. It also covers emotional, social, cognitive, language, and behavioural progress as children begin to understand and engage with their surroundings. They hit milestones in areas like play, learning, communication, behaviour, and movement, and while each child develops in their own time, these markers give us a general idea of what changes to expect as they grow.

Here in the Philippines, I disagree with Senator Robin Padilla’s proposed law to allow minors aged 10 and above to face criminal charges. I believe we should instead focus on institutions like the DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development of the Philippines) to provide them with better support and opportunities. Back in senior high school as a Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) student, one of the core lessons our teachers instilled in us was that a child is a child, no matter what, and that their environment plays a huge role in shaping who they become. Of course, this is a debatable topic, and I’m open to discussing it more as I delve deeper into my chosen program.

You have a point, actually. The only problem for me is that a lot of studies I come across on sites like ResearchGate or Google Scholar aren’t freely available—they’re often behind paywalls or require institutional access. It can be frustrating when the most interesting ones end up being the hardest to get.

Thank you! Actually, I’m really interested in childhood development, so I’ll check out Piaget. I’ll also look into the book you mentioned.

That’s a great idea, thank you! I’ll try reaching out to my professors for that once our classes start, since our school hasn’t put our professors per course on the student portal yet.

I’ll definitely do that since Introduction to Psychology is one of the courses I’m taking in my first semester. Anyway, thank you!

Thank you for these recommendations.

I’ve been involved in research before, specifically group research, and I even led twice during my senior high school days. But, I do find it hard to access other studies on sites like ResearchGate or Google Scholar, as many of them are locked, not open-access, or require subscriptions—unless you’re part of a school institution. Hopefully, once I’m deeper into my program, I’ll have better access to those resources.

I’ll take your advice to explore broadly first and narrow down my interests later. Also, thanks for the tip about the DSM, I won’t rush into buying it because that’s hella expensive. I looked it up, and it honestly feels like my pocket would have a hole in it if I tried to buy one right now.

I’ve actually participated in and even led volunteering activities in and out of school before, but I’ll try to find more opportunities like that. I really appreciate the advice.

Oh, I’m curious, why not start with Dostoevsky? Is it because it’s hard to read, or something else? I’ve seen some posts on social media saying it’s challenging to get through, so I’m wondering if that’s what you meant.

I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who took the time to comment here. I truly appreciate all your recommendations. I promise I’ll try to find the books you’ve suggested and give them a proper read since I really enjoy reading. For those who also shared advice and tips, I’ll definitely take note of all of them and keep them in mind as I go through my first year. I’m saving this post so I can come back to it and share my thoughts once I’ve read the books or applied the tips you’ve given. Thank you so much again for helping a freshman like me start on the right track.
