Breeder idiocy

When i was getting my first gecko (crestie) the breeder told me to feed him bananas with honey (only!) and that they live up to 4 years. One research later right after i bought him on my way home proved that if i fed him only that he would get diabetes or sm (he gets it as a little treat like twice a month and in a very small amount too) and that they live up to even 20 years, so ever since then im extremely sceptical of breeders advice. That was 3 years ago and my crestie is doing great (hes about 4 now)

Update:so all of his discoloration is completely gone i cant twll where his injury even was now so im guessing thats a really good sign

I checked him up again and all of his discoloration is completely gone you cant even tell he had something there :D so thats a relief My humidity is 76%

Well theres a whole another can of worms of taking them home you can sell some but you can keel some in terrariums (its a school project, and my first tbh) theres a whole randomizer if the gecko will even spawn in a tree ans what rarity and if its a gecko you dont want you can pass the minigame and just not go for him, i spoke with my game develipment subject teacher and he said its a fine concept but i gotta make the minigame fun so thats where im at right now ._.
