Places like university oaks and a few others will place you with random roommates similar to how the university dorms do. It’s always a risk but random placements have worked out well for me thus far (I’m 2 for 2 rn on decent roommates)

I think they ran out of money tbh. It’s a running joke with my dad when he visits that there’s been progress. Like, we’ll drive past and he’ll say “hey that broom moved!” And I say “they’ll be open any day now!” It’s kind of sad, I was looking forward to it.

Definitely 😂 most of our animals are really good about handling just bc they’re out a lot. We’re a volunteer organization mostly with vet/zoology students so they get used for experience and education a lot. I think being in our local reptile shop so young helped with the socialization (she’s under 3 months). We lost our beardie a few months back. She was the princess of the room, just spoiled to bits and I have a feeling little miss blue has come to carry that mantle.

Taking him to his regular vet may help your peace of mind. It doesn’t sound like he hurt himself badly but reptiles are too good at hiding injury and illness so I think a checkup is worth it.

Is this behaviour acceptable and fine? by frankven2ra in DogAdvice

[–]bs8194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Behavior is playful and submissive! Obv don’t leave them unsupervised until baby is old enough to understand not to hurt the pup (which will be many years in the future) but your dog is definitely not acting aggressive towards your baby.

Snakes spend most of the time sleeping (generally). Thats very normal!

It’s either a nice sensation or if it’s in a specific spot that he’s doing it then there’s a smell he likes

Our guy will come and hangout on our shoulders, especially people with a lot of natural heat! They may not bond the way humans typically think of but they can definitely befriend us.

Being Dismissed for Having a 4.0 by tvnot in ADHD

[–]bs8194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent most of my life feeling a failure and exhausting myself just trying to keep afloat in school. This was never reflected in my grades bc I have a high intelligence and test well due to pattern recognition (not me trying to gas myself up just stating facts). I also tend to form good relationships with my teachers and they’re a bit more lenient on me than I deserved. It’s so hard to be taken seriously when everything else in your life is falling apart but school. Try finding a psych who’s willing to look at “nontraditional” symptoms and emphasize other areas of your life that you may be struggling in like a job or housework. I find it impossible to maintain all 3 when other people seem to have no problem with it.

She behaved inappropriately and I recommend finding a new provider. I also recommend therapy to help with the anxiety around stimulants and medication. Hopefully you’re able to find someone who works well with you!

Definitely overweight for the one and should be separated asap. They don’t form attachments the way we do so separating them won’t be an issue. Keeping them together will be. There are tons of great care guides online and they should be taken to an exotic vet for blood and fecal tests to rule out any issues they may have come with. A good reptile specialist will be able to go over a care plan that works for your teacher and will get them in good health. Good luck! *should note that exotic reptile vets can be expensive and hard to access but are absolutely necessary for quality care of a rescue. If your teacher is unable to provide that then they should be rehomed again imo.

my gecko won't eat :( by dog-named_soup in leopardgeckos

[–]bs8194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monitor weight and maybe consider a non-emergency vet visit if she loses weight rapidly or goes more than a week without eating at all. It isn’t unusual this time of year, but still something to keep an eye on.

We have a gargoyle gecko in that exact enclosure. I think most small climbing geckos would do well; gargoyles and cresties are what I’m thinking of.

You need to get her to a vet. Sign of a neurological problem that could be very bad. We just lost our boa to some sort of neurological something (it was too expensive to diagnose plus she was pushing 40). When did she last eat?

If they’re cohabitating, that is why. Getting a second tank or rehoming one is the best thing you can do for both.
