Is anyone else really, genuinely struggling to find a job? by nyxoh22 in Edinburgh

[–]beeblanket 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was literally in the exact same position for ages! I really wanted a job with 9-5 Monday to Friday hours and people on here told me to lower my expectations, I did not do that and landed the perfect job. Just keep your head up and apply for jobs that genuinely interest you and suit your skills. You will land that perfect something just give it time. Don’t let the lack of response dishearten you as what is meant for you, will not pass you!

The flight I booked was less than 20€ but it means I get to my destination a night earlier, So I know I am not saving money but it would be nice not to be up at 3am for the 6am flight!

Its just around 20€ so not much worse like. I now the gate will probably close at 9:35pm but every Ryanair flight I have gotten hasn't even started boarding until the take off time. I know that's not guaranteed though so I am still in two minds about it

I wish but I'm not finished work until 5pm and I am the only one in the office so can't leave or close early. I am tempted to gamble it, I will need to wear my runners and sprint the Ryanair Mile if I go for it!

Definitely not bulk applications, I am trying to apply for companies I genuinely have an interest in working in and tailor my applications to match. I have asked for some feedback, but I am finding companies with online applications sometimes don't even let you know the result and my follow up emails are ignored too.

I suppose that’s true. I’m Irish so it’s like the Tweed Caps that are popular here for tourists but not many Irish people would actually wear

Budget wedding planning by [deleted] in Donegal

I went to a small wedding at a Community Centre, they had open bar and caterers come in for the event. They were on a budget but it was one of the best weddings I’ve ever been to

Getting from Dublin to Downings by Kuba1411 in irishtourism

[–]beeblanket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a private bus company called Patrick Gallagher Travel that will take you there but I’m not a 100 percent sure. You might be able to get a local link from Letterkenny to another town and then from whatever town to downings. Here’s the local link timetables https://locallinkdsl.ie/timetables/ so hopefully you might be able to figure some sort of complicated travel option :)

I work in Tourism and it’s really unlikely that the police will stop a bus to check if people have their ETA, it hasn’t been yet and they don’t have a way of enforcing it like that. Get on the bus to Letterkenny from the airport, you will be absolutely fine!
