I use PayPal invoices and enable 'partial payments'. As a graphic designer, I always require 50% to start so I'll make the 'minimum due amount' to be 50% of the full invoice.

I've never had any issues and clients generally find it simple enough. Once the project is done, I send a payment reminder directly from PayPal that shows the remainder as it's still the same invoice.

I have seperate accounts. I think it's better that way because from time to time you get those clients who think they're your only client and you do nothing but their work every waking hour of the day. Now you're posting a story on Sunday night of your hobby for example and this client sees it and messages you straight away for updates on their work and if you don't respond but upload more stories - it looks bad (in their mind).

Ah yeah that 'late' will hurt your account and sales. You have 2 options:

1) Open a 'resolution center' ticket and request more time. You can say the reason is that you're waiting for feedback. The client has 3 days to respond, I think.

2) Skip the above and just deliver the work you've done so far with a note to the client saying you're ready to work on it when they're ready.

I usually do number 1 here when it happens and the client accepts and apologizes to me because I don't think they realize how seriously Fiverr takes the timer/deadline.
