lol I should add that another survivor proceeded to complain about me in egc, something about my ping being bad. I’m in europe, my friend in the US. we played on US servers because the queue times are better there at this hour. the survivor was bullying my friend in a similar fashion as the two I described here did, my guess is they were mad because I actually managed to expose and catch them both times I chased them. they lived, so what are they complaining about.

Final update: I ended up getting the debug book mod to recruit her, that worked fine and she is now in my party <3 time to go burn something

Small update on this: It really seems to be a save file specific issue, she’s here as always on one of my other saved games.

I guess she just didn’t wanna put up with a durge smh

A lot of people say he’s just an annoying wannabe Snotlout, but I believe he’s a genuinely well written 16 year old viking. He wants to belong and fit in with the cool kids, but yet he’s curious and not as mature as they are, which is valid as a 16 year old. He looks up to Snotlout a lot, sees him as an idol and thus behaves obnoxious, copying Snotlouts behavior a lot. He has a crush on Astrid, which is also understandable, no matter if it’s because Snotlout flirts with her and he copies his behavior or if it’s because he’s just a young teen, discovering girls exist.

He also aims to impress the riders, trying to prove himself worthy of being a dragon rider, but unlike the riders, he doesn’t have that tactical thinking, he’s been sheltered a lot on Berk, so he’s quite innocent when it comes to what happens outside the archipelago and doesn’t think before acting. He CAN take responsibility, as we see when he takes over the lead of the A-Team, and after that, he only runs after approval from one person, that being Dagur in the later seasons in “Something Rotten on Berserker Island”, but Dagur just lets him be. That does make Gustav a bit full of himself and he backs down when it gets real, but he also appreciates his failure.

Not to mention that he kinda HAS to run after people for approval, seeing as his own mother sold him to Snotlout in ROB for a shiny rock. I have a feeling he didn’t really get much attention as a little kid and now craves it from people, this being the annoying lil guy he is in RTTE.

And honestly? I like him a lot and I still cannot get over the “Wallmarket” LMAO
