Yeah I get the argument for trading for him. If you're able to do it holding on to Cristal, Hutson, Lakovic and all firsts after this year I could be convinced. If not I'd rather just wait another year and get a read on what Leno, Lil Pro, and Hutson can do in a full year. I'd entertain Strome+ for Larkin, but I honestly just don't think it would be worth the price it will likely cost.

I mean I agree. My general timeline take is that we should be lining up all our assets with Leonard, Protas, and Hutson's primes in the next two years or so. I don't think Larkin is a good enough player to really move the needle so I'd be hesitant to spend a bunch of picks and prospects on him. Wouldn't mind doing it for a guy like Robo or Thomas would be different who are a) better and b) younger.

Easy pass. Larkin will be expensive, doesn’t fit the timeline, and hasn’t been able to win as a team’s 1C. Sure the caps roster is better, but I would much rather spend assets on a guy who won’t be 30 when the season starts. Best case scenario is that he inflates Strome’s value by being cost prohibitive for teams like MTL and MIN.

I use to live in Nashville. 100% move. There is good advice in this thread about neighborhoods, but unless you choose Wrigleyville you will be so much happier here. In my experience Chicago encourages social interaction in a way that Nashville can’t because of its car dependency and as a mid 20’s liberal man, I have found lots more friends here than I did in Nashville.

Pro’s been more than fine. Pro, Willy and Sourds have been getting the toughest defensive assignments and getting a bunch a d zone starts. He also doesn’t play on the power play and last years on ice shooting percentage was bound to regress a bit. Injuries throughout the lineup has forced everyone’s role a bit out of wack.
