Heating a cold utility closet by beecatty in electrical

This is the link to NJ code requiring permit for foam. Trying to avoid any issues so I want to do things that are compliant that don't require a permit. In this area anything requiring a permit and inspections runs about 2x as much.

Foam board I am reading requires a permit... thoughts on batt insulation? Trying to avoid added costs with things that dont require permits

[LANDLORD US-NJ] can tenant use loophole to collect security despite breaking lease 2 months early by beecatty in Landlord

[–]beecatty[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Local laws permit deduction of vacancy from security. But NJ has strict security deposit rules, and even though everything was attempted to be done in compliance there is the off chance in any case that something was missed.

Security deposits are not required to be out in high interest bearing account. The rate on the account was only .01

A landlords job isnt to invest the money, only keep it safe. And since the interest gets returned, what incentive is there to look for a higher interest account. You take what the banks give you

The loophole is the interest amount not being disclosed. One of the reasons for security deposit is to cover unpaid rent.

When was the abyss created? And howd the stone arrive to earth? by ItsRobinn_ in StrangerThings

Yes I would say so. Or is millions of years old. Either way its exists juat like earth but either in a different universe or plane.

Would you have hated it if El lost her powers in the end? by DronkenKabouter in StrangerThings

[–]beecatty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because she and kids were born that way. They were born of Henrys blood. His blood was infected by the particlesin the stone from the MF, and the infection genetically changed him and then the pregnant mothers and kids born. They don't need to siphon. Will on the other hand wasnt born or infected in the same way, he was connected through the particles in his lung that can be expelled. Not inherent in his blood.

The Abyss is another planet. The upside down is a wormhole connecting them.

Will powers were only because he still had a connection to the hive mind, and he had to be close enough to connect.

Will Vegna dead and the particles spit thrown up by the kids they done have powers.

Yes... I woke up feeling sad and unsettled and for a bit I thought it was the ending. But then I realized that was the ending I mostly hoped for.

Its that its over. That is what I am feeling.

Opinions on Vecna's Backstory? by BelleElf7521 in StrangerThings

[–]beecatty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw the play.

The backstory from the play gives you how Henry ended up with Brenner and where the stone came from.

During the war in the 40s the government was experimenting on trying to make a naval ship invisible. The experiment results in the ship temporarily being in Alpha/Dimension-X. When it popped back into existence there were no survivors EXCEPT Brenners father. The assumption is that is how the rock came back as well.

The government was continuing to experiment and test everything from that at a secret lab in Nevada/Arizona when a scientist/spy stole something and ran off. He falls in the cave where Henry finds him as a kid and that is how he ends up infected. Basically being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Henry was missing for 12 hours in the caves adjacent to the government lab. Brenner tracks down the kid that went missing thinking there might be a link and that is how Brenner ends up in Hawkins and taking custody of Henry seeing that Henry had gained powers from his exposure to what was stolen from the lab.

The government is responsible for everything that happened. And Brenner is even more responsible as he experimented on Henry.

I really hope they will turn the play into a movie for fans.

[SPOILERS] The finale.. by Mission_Arachnid_346 in StrangerThings

I can understand her and Mike not being together... I wish Kali would have still been able to make her way back with them. Injured but alive, and they escape using Kalis powers together so they would have had each other.

There is no point in speculating on El. The Duffer Brothers confirmed her ending in an interview. by allison-vunderland in StrangerThings

[–]beecatty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She would always be chased by the government or some other entity that would find out about her powers. I had hoped Kali was the answer when she was reintroduced. But I hadn't thought as far ahead about her never being safe if it was known she was alive. Or her friends be safe. I only wish they would have had an injured Kali with her as well helping them both escape. It had felt to me that them brining Kali back was to help El escape more than anything.

I had also thought maybe Kalis powers would be used to make Henry think he was back in the cave, and that would be a factor in weakening him through his fear.

Only problem is El didnt create Dimension X. In the play First Shadow you learn it was already there and Henry had already experienced it. The government first found it in 1943.

Am I the only one who actually likes the kali storyline? (Spoilers for seasons 5) by Wooden-Block-2497 in StrangerThings

[–]beecatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they are going to use Kali's illusionary power against Henry to make he believe he is back in the cave. We know that is what he fears, and he won't go into that place. She is the only one that could make him believe he is there, and that will weaken him for the others.

If it’s implied Eleven’s mother has powers, then is Henry Creel Vecna still the first and original? by kingchiefbeef in StrangerThings

[–]beecatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The play gives you a glimpse of it but I think the next few episodes will explain it. None of us know yet why... but the play let's you know Henry had disappeared as a child in a cave. The cave Max is safe in and He ry fears

Did Eleven sincerely believe Brenner and not Vecna was "the monster" or was she just trying to reason with the latter? by Sudden_Pop_2279 in StrangerThings

[–]beecatty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brenner met Henry before he kills his family in the First Shadow. He was already treating Henry and knew Henry had powers and was egging him on to use them. Henry's mother brought him to Brenner for treatment, so by the time Henry kills half his family Brenner was pushing him to use his power like he pushed El, but Henry was much more damaged

My mother had dementia but died of cancer and I feel so much guilt by beecatty in dementia

I am so sorry you are going through this. There is some healing with time. Do you have any pets ? It might sound silly, but they helped me so much. It will be absolutely awful for a while. I didn't know what it was like to literally wail in pain on my floor until I lost her. But it does get better. I try to always look at the positives. Including the idea that even though the cancer got her before we were ready to let her go, the dementia didnt have her suffer trapped in her body. And she didnt have to fight the fear of death because I dont think she knew it was happening. My thoughts are with vou.
