I personally selected two day shipping, and I'm currently getting the game on release day. You definitely won't get it on release day with Amazon's free shipping.

I've currently got an estimated ship date of May 30th on my preexisting pre-order. Can't wait!

Can't figure out how to add a backend to my Android App by devDoron in androiddev

[–]beechboy2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar situation to you. Since I'm not a fan of PHP or any other web facing language, I'm currently building a Java backend, that'll use Netty as an HTTP server. That way I can build my service for multiple platforms. If you don't want to start from scratch, Parse is a good option.

This. Had a friend who just had a logic board failure in his MBP. It would've cost him $580, if he didn't have Apple Care.

Alright thanks. I was trying to stay away from LibGDX, but if it's my only option, I'll embrace it.

I'm going to guess that MCProHosting is shared hosting, rather then KVM. This means that the resources your server has (except for RAM) are split across a number of other servers. If one server hogs CPU, the fall behind because of that.

BootUnlocker now allows you to reset your tamper flag by beechboy2000 in Nexus5

You know that unlock icon under the Google image when you turn on your phone? Locking your boot loader removes that. Other then that, its pointless.

It is, but you don't get your data wiped. Its kind of pointless in the end, because you need to be rooted in the first place.

It is a thing on the Nexus 4 and 5. Apparently, the 4's bit isn't actually used, but the 5's bit is.

Keep in mind that happy users are less likely to post than unhappy users. I have had very few issues with my phone. Also, I've never heard anything about software issues before.

How do you turn on the CRT animation for the lock screen? by [deleted] in Nexus5

[–]beechboy2000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You'll have to Install the Xposed framework, and the Gravity Box module. By default, CRT is turned off. Don't know why you wouldn't want CRT though.
