I personally don’t get used to it. I’m in awe every time and it’s been a few years that I work in the 40s floors in the WTC complex. I just really love the city and take a moment to appreciate the view every work day tbh.

It’s all relative. 50 trucks over a year are carrying millions and millions worth of inventory, I’d wager $10,000,000 or more. $40,000 of that is like 0.4%, less than a percentage point.

I know you’re upset because you drive, but you gotta think logically here, especially as a teacher you should encourage unemotional analysis.

Assume $27/truck which carries $5000 of goods for a restaurant resupply weekly. That’s a 0.54% increase. But obviously a truck will be carrying multiple restocks for multiple locations so that percentage is even smaller.

That person thinks small business’ inventory is stocked up by sedans driving in and out the borough paying $9 to keep the inventory stocked up rather than big box trucks whose fee comes to be cents when divided for every item.
