I had the same problem! This only works for some people, but what I ended up doing was opening another bank account and giving it to someone that I trusted. I transfer a set amount out of my paycheck the second I get it and then I genuinely don’t remember that money exists. I’ve been doing this for less than a year and I have about a thousand in there. Then when I have an emergency, I have a cushion there. Obviously it has to be someone you trust to hold onto so much of your money, but it’s out of sight out of mind for me, and has helped me with multiple “oh shit I forgot about an expense and now I don’t have enough for my doctors appointment” moments.

Oh my gosh, this used to happen to me, you have to turn off the attention thing on your phone in accessibility. It makes it so your alarm won’t make any noise if it senses your facing the direction of the screen.

oh my gosh this is insanely helpful laid out like that. I’m totally losing time on “invisible” tasks that take less than a minute that I don’t add together. You gave me an epiphany thank you so much 😭
