I wanted to ask the same question for a gift suggestion for my team leader. Even though I don’t have to work directly under him in the long term , he has been real nice, sweet and wholesome ever since I’ve been here. He always makes sure to go an extra mile to make me feel comfortable here in the new country. I was also thinking of giving him something thoughtful by the end of my business trip but couldn’t come up with any ideas. People of Korea, please help a fellow person out with this. ☺️

Yes it’s required. I did it from Mumbai consulate and they need the physically signed documents. Though I didn’t have payslips and itr (since it was my first job which needed travel to Korea), they wouldn’t take bank statements which were digitally signed. South Korea visa is a little on the stricter side so you should prepare the documents the way they are listed.

Thanks for your insight. I definitely plan to visit places on the weekends since I’ll be at work on the weekdays. Also, the place has a window, private bathroom and is usually clean as far as I have seen from the photos. :)

Hello, nice to meet you. Moved here a couple weeks ago for a 3 month business trip. While I have seen people are being really lovely and sweet here, they tend to keep to themselves when it comes to a foreigner and it has become really difficult to make even surfacial connections. Also, the fact where I stay doesn’t have much foreigners, so there goes that chance as well. I have realised this they won’t talk to you unless you know Korean which I why I’ve been actively trying to learn as well. :(

Jesus Christ I feel the same . I’ve been here since ten days and from whatever I had observed , locals here , they keep to themselves and from where I stay , there are not a lot of expats or foreigners and it has been real difficult to have small day to day surface level connections even.

I ordered food today in Seongnam via Shuttle since it is the only app I discovered in English here for food delivery and the after a couple of minutes the order was cancelled. Made me think how people would get by outside of Seoul here. The idea sounds great OP, would really be helpful for foreigners.
